I was actually thinking along those same lines ! I have several "boat" winches that would work great for lifting the Gin Poles. They would be easy to mount and dismount when needed.
I had a little time recently, so I made up a bracket to hold my MRE Heater between the seats.
I cut it out of some 10 gauge plate and bent it up using my vise and a 3 Ibs hammer. After welding and grinding and drilling out the holes, I mounted it on the deuce back wall between the seats...
What we need is for some engineer type to figure out the actual size of pipe needed for say a 12ft to 16ft gin pole. It needs to be able to hold a 2ton load. Sound about right ? That way we're not buying extra heavy tubing because we are guessing about it's load carrying ability. That kind of...
On the truck blowing smoke issue. Has your friend taken it on the freeway, found some hills and really loaded it down ? These multifuel engines really like to be abused ! Truck diesels are kind of the "sado-masochists" of the truck world. Really. What happens is the combustion pressure works on...
First off he said it was after post #117 not post #107 . Second, didn't you see the little rolling guy ? That comment was suppose to be sarcasm. Really guys...
I was hoping someone with computer skills would step up and make some kind of spread sheet we could all post to. This will take a few years to get enough data compiled to make an honest assessment of any oils used.
A yellow and blue hose ? That's it ? You promised more colors then that !!! To think I just wasted how many minutes of my life for a yellow and blue hose !! rofl
Are you sure ? I looked at the whole post and never saw any pictures of all the service lines and emergency lines and such you where talking about. There was a lot of different colored wires in one picture. You still need to find the correct thread. After all you put us through we deserve it ...
Your correct. All we can rely on is antidotal data from other vehicle owners. Has this helped you ? Yes, No. Did your engine last longer then the last one ? Has your injection pump problem gone away ? Have you lost another cam again ? If you add up all the answers from the tens of thousands of...
You hit the nail on the head with this statement ! That's why I've said from the beginning, you will never get "real" data from either the vehicle manufactures or the oil companies or the government. All have a vested interest in keeping things the way they are now.
So I will err on the side of...
Hey Frank, where did you get the proper ferrules for the fuel lines ? I plan on using one of my spare fuel lines to connect to the Tester I bought. Looks just like yours. I can use one of the lines the tester came with along with the nut from the old fuel line, but I need the ferrule.
Thanks.
They might have been talking about it, but I did it ;-) .
I don't remember which thread that was. I have posted so many now about the different hoses I've used I lost track of them. Sorry.
I do know I used "green" poly hose for the vents, "black" for the air-lines, and the fuel hoses were the...
I did but it was over ten years ago. Maybe closer to twenty. It was a pain in the butt though ! They are hard to bend and they all get bent up in shipping. The long lines are doubled over to fit into the box. Like Marcus said "cupro-nickel" is better. I used that on my deuce.
