Congrats on the new ride. Looks good! If you need any help with it let me know. I am getting pretty familiar with the truck now. :tank: my new smiley contribution!
It does go down into the teens on rare occasions in the Winter here.
It didn't cost that much!
At least it is there if i need it.
Also didn't take much time installing it.
It filled an empty slot.
I might travel North during cold weather.
CAN ANYONE COME UP WITH MORE REASONS?
Since the weather was ****ty today I decided to do some quick projects. I replaced the window crank handle on the driver's side due to cracked knob. I also lubricated the tracks at the bottom of the window so that the window would go up and down smoother. I use petroleum jelly as the lube.
I...
Couldn't he also buy gasket material and cut his own gaskets? Especially if he does each intake separately? I would use gasket adhesive to the manifold. Once dry I would cut the openings in the intake holes and the bolt holes.
Let me know hat you think of that idea.
I attached a picture of one that has been on the market for at least 10 years! I purchased mine from a trailer dealer in NJ years ago. I have seen them on the internet as well. Found it on AMAZON.COM

Actually I used 3 layers of the Aluminum Bubble Wrap Insulation sold by Home Depot. The 2 foot wide rolls work out perfect. You can always paint over the insulation if you don't like the aluminum look. I used the Scotch 77 spray glue to tack it in place.
Some people use the sleeping bag...
Thanks for the compliment. The paint was dry this morning thanks to running the ceramic heater all day and night! Installed the air-ride seat and bolted it down to the floor pan. I had already installed a 1/8" steel plate to the bottom of the pedestal that matched the plate on the bottom of...
I got you the parts you requested: L-switch bracket, pick up tube for fuel tank, (Jeff would not let the RED wrecker light go) you will need to talk to him about it. I tried but he would not give it up!
What about cutting the 2 sections of gaskets apart? If you place the intake manifold over the gasket and mark the edge, then cut the exhaust manifold gasket off?
Looks dangerous to me! Imagine you are talking to a cop and you reach over to get a drink. He thinks you are reaching for your weapon and shoots you! It's a long shot but....
I did this mod to my M820 truck years ago. I also installed it on my M109A2 truck. I don't like it cause it is not rain resistant. Even with the foam weather stripping it still leaks! Need more drain holes on the bottom! Anyway I am planning to remove mine from the truck. I want to install...
Yesterday I put down the first coat of Polyurethane Paint on the cab floor. Since it was a bit cool out I followed Jeff Davis's advice and put a ceramic heater in the cab to warm it up before the paint application.
While i was waiting for the cab to warm up I mixed the paint and got things...
How about a fire extinguisher mount with one steel band attached? I am talking about the metal ones that come in the M939 trucks. It has a flat base the the extinguisher bottle sits on. You can always replace the existing band with a stainless steel 3" or 4" hose clamp.
I may have one as well. I took apart a multifuel a few years ago and save the intake and exhaust manifolds. May still have them. Make me an offer by PM if interested. Can UPS it to you.
