NHC 250 Engine Coolant Filter Location Ideas

Top IN. Bottom OUT. (looking at the engine the higher location is feeding the filter and the lower location is the discharge from the filter back to the cooling system.) On the filter housing I used the top feed goes to IN and the Bottom to the OUT.

New to Deuce, We have lights, but no Turn signal or Brake lights. Help

At first it sounds like a ground problem for your brake lights. Try grounding the fixtures better. Star washer on the 2 large mounting bolts in back of the lights was a good suggestion.

goldneagle's M923 recovery and modification thread

I was not planning to do anything on the truck today due to rain. Well it was so nice out this afternoon that i decided to tackle the plumbing for the coolant bypass filter setup. I already ordered the filter and housing from AMAZON and it should be here before the end of the week. I drove...

Which Deuce model would be considered a "best buy" for the money???

I would say that 90% of the Deuces out there have the multi-fuel powered engine. Cargo version M35A2. They do not come with real power steering unless they were modified by civilians. Most are manual steering. Some come with air-assist steering package. You can probably get one in good...

Great boneyard pictures of late conflict trucks

It's a shame they won't let any parts be salvaged. i saw some nice LED flood lights, cargo beds, winches etc. I wish they would just scrap the armor and leave some of the goodies for us.

goldneagle's M923 recovery and modification thread

Today was a lazy day. All I did to the truck was to cut the back brackets that supported the bench seat back. They were welded and studded to the battery box lid. i used my Sawzall to cut the brackets off. I also used it to cut the large rivet heads off the brackets. That allowed me to...

goldneagle's M923 recovery and modification thread

Actually Jeff Davis was the one that made the deal with one of our SS members for 5 sets total. I paid for 2 sets. One is on the M923 and the other may go on the M109A2.

Thanks for the complements. Those battery disconnect switches are supposed to go on the negative side of the circuit. You may need additional cables to do it right. I did turn the lights on last night after dark and they looked great! I need to check them for aim. They may need some...

Threadlocking Battery Stud to Post Adapters

I use welding wire for all my MV modes where heavy gauge wires are required. Example: I used #2 welding wire for the battery Equalizers I installed in my trucks. I also used 1/0 welding wire for the kill switch mod. (I needed longer cables to reach the switch) Just take your time and make...

You can always keep the spare in the bed.

    Changing M923 to a M923A1

I have read in other threads that lowering the tire air pressure will help a lot in sand. If they make beadlocks for the 11.00-20's that will help with the lower air pressure. Even the 14.00-20 have to be run with low air pressure to be effective in sand. Again beadlock would be a good idea...

    Changing M923 to a M923A1

He didn't say to flip the hubs. He said to flip the rims so that the deep side is facing out. (like the outer wheel on the 11.00's) There was someone in another thread that was asking about flipping hubs on the M923 so all 6 wheels would face the same way.

Funny guy! Glad you had fun with my truck. Did you manage to remove the 5th wheel? At least the truck is 1 step closer to being done! Take care.

Threadlocking Battery Stud to Post Adapters

I tried using those adapters in my M931. Not good! As you said they seem to loosen up -which can cause serious issues. I would cut the clamps and use terminal ends.
