Now to install the governor springs and shims. Picture 1 shows the operating shaft assembly adjusted. Preliminary adjustments are to set both screws to 5/32". Picture 2 shows how the operating lever is to be positioned (idle) for taking the governor springs shim measurements. Picture 3 is...

    Rebuilding the Injection pump

It's time to install the "Hydraulic Head" . I know it has been posted before but it wouldn't be a rebuild thread without showing how the Hydraulic Head went on. Pictures 1,2, and 3 show how the pointer and quill shaft gear are suppose to be aligned. Picture 4 shows the 'O' rings installed. The...

Anyone interested in heavier duty hydraulic head button retaining clips?

I believe it has more to do with a weak spring allowing the plunger valve to "bounce" on the piston.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Your engine problem is a real head scratcher for sure. I cannot remember any similar problem before. Now with two engines having the same problem this is getting real interesting. To bad your not closer as I would really like to look that engine over.

    Build update

I am curious. Why do you always start a new thread instead of putting your new information in your original thread ? It seems you want to share what your doing so why make it so hard for anyone to follow you ?

    Paint Woes / price check

I've used "MEK" to clean the rubber trim, but you need to be careful, and quickly use some rubber conditioner like "Armor All" before the rubber gets damaged.

Curt receiver hitch for the Deuce, 18,000lb/1,800lb

I found my sales receipt and my tow hitch is the Curt # 15800 . I had written down the 15400 as one to look at. The 15800 fits great under the deuce and with the adapter can tow with any 2" hitch.

Fuel returning to tank m35a2 1971

I don't believe they make a diaphragm pressure plate for the multifuel engine. I've only seen the three and four finger spring plates.

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

OK, after rereading all the posts I see it was "The Flu Farm" who was being a dick. Again, my apologies "Ilikemtb999" . Thank you for sticking up for me.

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

I'm not irritated, but I was just wondering why he went this much more expensive route instead of just adding an extra air tank.

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

My apologies. I was at my father-inlaws funeral for the last week and I have been suffering from jet lag for days now. I was only able to get online for a short time each day. We just got back home at midnight last night. So who was being called a "dick" ? Ahab help me here. As far as how many...

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

Are you seriously calling me a "dick" ? Where are the moderators ? So I might have mixed up my references of where the rubber bumper was, but there is suppose to be two inches of clearance. So who's being the dick here ! It's people like you who give sites like this bad reputations with your...

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

So your saying the bumper is touching the frame all the time ? Man you must have the worst ride ! I bought new OEM springs for mine last year. They cost about $200.00 . I also installed the "ORD" heavy duty shackle kit and poly bushing kit. It now rides extremely well ! Forgot to mention the new...
