My new ride 1958 M109A2 recovered from Camp Shelby

Thanks for the nice compliment! i hope they resolve the ANTIQUE tag issue here. We were able to get lifetime registration for $44 when I titled my M820A2 less than 2 years ago. We were able to stencil the Vin number on the side of the hood as the tag!!

My new ride 1958 M109A2 recovered from Camp Shelby

I found a partial sticker on the driver side door that had Kuwait written on it. So at least the door was in Kuwait in the 90's:-o

My new ride 1958 M109A2 recovered from Camp Shelby

Michael Hassett came by this morning and we loaded up his truck with 81mm ammo boxes filled with tools, fluids and parts for a recovery of my M109A2. Smooth trip to Camp Shelby took 1-1/2 hrs. When we got there we signed in and they escorted us to the location where the truck was stored. Upon...

    bobbed a deuce, original bed

I think I read some threads on different ways that the M35 trucks were bobbed. Some shortened the frame and cargo bed. Some shortened the frame and moved the axle then used a M105 bed. There are different combinations discussed in the threads. I am sure CLINTO or DH will chime in and give you...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

I know the load numbers I used are higher than actual. Circuit size is used to protect the wire from overheating. However they are in the ballpark! A 30 amp rated A/C unit uses more than 20 AMP to run..otherwise they would only use a 20 amp breaker. All appliance use is based on customer...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

The electronic units are not recommended! The rotary ones are much more efficient (over 80%). They are more expensive but are worth the extra cost on heavy equipment.

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

Most electric companies will provide service in 3 phase to you location if you are willing to pay the cost of bringing it to that location. 5000 gallons of diesel is a lot of money! Did they ever quote you what it would cost?

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

Well then a 15kw unit will draw 1.5 gal/hr based on your figures. I am using a 4 cylinder engine from the 15kw military generator to run the 30kw + generator head. Does this mean the engine will consume double the rated gph? Also does that mean that if I only draw 15kw from the system I will...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

You are trying to compare utility uses in NC to LA! I don't think so. My A/C runs about 9 Months out of the year! The rest of the time we are on heat pump. There is NO tank in a On demand water heater system! Ever have your wife do laundry and cook at the same time? Mine does all the time...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

LOL guys! My house uses a lot more than 15 kw. I have Central Air Conditioning in the Summer and Electric heat pump for winter. uses almost 30 amp 230 volt. Then add the 15 amps for the blower motor. We have 50 amp 230 volt for the stove/ oven. We have Electric dryer at 30 amp 230 volt. On...

Bought my first MIG welder today...

I can buy a Deuce from GL for that much money! I have a Lincoln 175HD that can do up to 1/2" with .045 fluxcore wire. It's not automatic, but it sells for less than 1/2 of the price. I guess it all depends on your budget and needs. The big plus of Fluxcore is the ability to use it outdoors...
