Thinking about it, I seem to remember too some sort of "offset" on the M37 to fix that loosing space inside too... Hmm
Yes Indeed, I was thinking that you could do the exact same thing on your Deuce. The only real consideration is the 13'6" maximum road height. Might not need to be that...
.
That definitely has the look of being "home made". Not necessarily a bad thing. It sure couldn't leak any more than any other cover.
In days gone by, the company that I worked for had a small fleet of M37's for transporting workers to the jobsite. They needed covers and canvas just wasn't...
.
Not sure that I can help with that. I generally replace whatever is on my truck with the same size it had. Of course that is assuming that what is there is correct... If it is painted green it could be a good indicator that it was "factory" sized.

JIC fittings are the common hydraulic hose fittings.
PirTek Hydraulic Hose Services is an option.
They are locally owned franchises and they will come to your location if you want hoses made and installed.

Hopefully you can find a gasket kit and some bearings locally? Or who knows, when you crack it open it might look like brand new inside.
Happy Wrench Turning!

Hi Floydla1
Hate to admit that I have no clue how to help you - but there is a lot more traffic on the Generator Forum and folks who will be able to offer up some suggestions. I made a request to have this post moved. Hopefully that will help.

Welcome to the Outfit!
Nice Truck! I think you will get some real enjoyment out of it.
Eight days.
Time will fly as you do projects for and with that truck. In no time at all, you will have been with it for years. Shoot a few more picture of the inside of the cab and engine bay. You...
.
Well Heck... Welcome to the Outfit!
I would suggest downloading TM's, but after 8 years I would imagine you already have done that and "fixed stuff" using them.
Best offer I have is to say welcome to the group - and start posting some pictures! You know how it is...
Without pictures, it...

That stuff is really good and surprisingly durable. I sprayed the battery cover on my M1089. It is fiberglass and there were "hairy fibers" all over it. Every time I touched it, I got glass in my hands. Sprayed with that and the problem is gone!
It dries like a bullet!

Pretty darn neat. Noticed jack stands (leveling legs or similar) under there too.
Forgot to make a comment about your jeep too @Gunny 0369 .
Pretty darn nice looking!

Hmmm....
The military has large deep pockets and a bunch of teens and twenty-somethings.
Steel Rope.
Synthetic Rope.
Wonder why the guys with more money than all of us put together picked steel?

You might need an APU.
Sullenberger used his and saved the day on Flight 1549. Out of sequence, he started the APU early and because he didn't kill everybody on the plane - he was a hero - since he took personal initiative.
Had he crashed and killed everyone, that would have been what...

MY OPINION is that if you clean it really well - and if the rag you clean it with doesn't have pieces of metal (or maybe sparkles) on the rag - I wouldn't necessarily replace it.
.
Agreed!
The TM shows an exploded view (not a very good one) and that bearing is part of a bearing kit P/N 700013L.
Glad you found loose spintle nuts jimmyjimwas !
That will (should) make the state inspectors happy too.
Especially when you explain what you found...

Yes Sir and the hard part is that I could give my helper a "ration of crap" and make him better. You try that at home and you get to Report to the Dog House. Do Not pass GO either!
