I talked with a Tech at "OlympicControl" pumps (the makers of our factory fuel pumps) and he said that the way they are put together ( hermetically sealed) doesn't allow them to be rebuilt. So just like gimpyrobb said, just toss it.
It's been raining continuously here for 3 days now. My ground is so saturated, I'm sinking whenever I walk on the grass. There is a small river going through the center of my property now also. Maybe GOD will have mercy on all of us and send some of this your way !
Unless the hose is "submersion" rated it will fail. The outer layers of almost all hoses are usually made of rubber. This rubber deteriorates due to constant immersion in the fuel. Once the outer layer of hose is destroyed it takes out the fiber reinforcement then the inner lining cannot hold...
Are you sure it's "pumping" air and not just "pulsating" ? Your intake line could be leaking so bad that it is just squirting back into the tank and causing a pulsation in the lines.
I agree. I have already decided if my Multifuel ever craps out on me I will replace it with a IHC DT466 engine. If I could afford one of these NOS engines floating around I would buy it. Since I don't have that kind of cash laying around the DT466 is the next best thing.
Actually Line Brakes (Micro-Locks) where never intended to help with parking in any form. They are only suppose to assist for a very limited time by locking all the wheels, like when using a wrecker to pull something. If the vehicles park brake is insufficient to hold it (even on a hill) then...
I was building my deck when this switch came about with pressure treated lumber. It's because of the EPA regulations and the leeching of "bad" chemicals from the old pressure treated lumber. So they went with this "New" stuff that corrodes metal !
You now "must" use stainless steel screws or...
If you had piston to valve impact then your rods could be suspect and also the cam and pushrods and rockers. The sudden jarring impact can cause cascading failures. The piston hits the valve which sends an extra impact down to the rod which impacts the crank and bearings. I had a cam gear go out...
I'm probably guilty of that myself as I just posted the first one I read. Your correct about the compression ratios and PSI readings. In the later Depot TM it mentioned the LDS as being 600 to 650 PSI with the 22:1 compression ratio and I would assume that would also apply to the LDT with 22:1...
Good quality cotter pins are around $0.25 ea. while a spool of safety wire can be 50ft long and cost $10.00 . So for every differential you rebuild you just added $3.00 or more to the cost of a rebuild compared to a $0.01 . After a few hundred rebuilds you cost the company $300.00 to $600.00...
Yep, that is one nasty pump ! Did you replace the pump hose with a "submersion" rated fuel line ? If you didn't, your new hose will look like your old one pretty soon.
Well at least you have some of the very best forest firefighters helping you ! They sure got a workout this last summer here so they know what their doing. I heard on the news today that it is confirmed as a arson fire. In fact there are several fires out your way that are all started by...
