I agree with @Maxjeep1 . Take the plate off, get that rod in place with lots of red grease to hold it in place. It should stay overnight even... Whatever you do, don't hammer it in place! It should slide.

The hose in the bottom picture... The one that rolls out and over over the frame rail... The one that looks like it is wrapped in electrical tape? Whatever it is shouldn't be riding on the edge of the frame rail. Is it dry rotted?

Hi Kenny,
I rummaged the Technical Manuals for the Goat. Seems that the "articulated joint" connection isn't explained in plain English, so I am not sure how much those books are going to help. The -20 seemed to have more info than some of the others...
Hopefully some of the other guys...

@patracy , I tried several different compressors and the file size doesn't come down but about 15% in PDF format. I can break it into multiple pieces and email it to you that way. OR if the original poster @Rotor15 can send maybe ten images at the time by email?

Good Deal!!
That solid state flasher will give you the opportunity to have LED lights that flash properly.
Suggest that you change the bulbs and test function one by one rather than swapping everything all at once...
Glad it solved your problems too!

I am not the "all knowing" for sure. I just right clicked and picked save as option. Agreed... Not any real action yet, but I can let it chew on it overnight. If it works - I will see what is possible to size it and be back tomorrow...

The SF97 at the NC DMV locations here in Charlotte doesn't do you a lot of good. Especially if it isn't in YOUR NAME. Attempting to reassign the SF97 is definitely going to blow their little brain circuits. IF you can take the seller with you to the DMV with proper identification and the...

There is a limit here for PDFs for sure. I don't know the exact number, but uploads seem to be limited to under 18mb. Just because I could I signed up for the site. I confirmed my account and now I am waiting for account Approval. I think we can split it up or maybe with tools that the TM...

Really nice - and having a sidekick that can "go jeepin" with you will be a lot of fun! Glad you didn't get "rooked" by the jeep fixers (Not!) and doing it yourself made it more yours! Congratulations on the motor swap and the family too.

I really liked the pull string (wire) that you have rigged on the plywood - so you could remove the board and the transmission in one easy pull. Not sure how easy it was, but it sure seemed like a good idea...

You never know... If you happen to stumble across the right person - you might get the answer you need. In days gone by and in situations like this if you don't get a flat outright NO trying to "play the clock" may help. Keep yourself a time log for phone calls. Trying to get a different...

Am I missing something?
CTIS sets all tires in the Central Tire Inflation System to the same pressure.
Granted, front at one pressure and the rears at another is perfectly normal, but not with CTIS.

I could spend days walking around looking at pieces and parts like that. The old mechanical crane would be neat to have and even neater cleaned up and working. That would take lots of time and effort but the reward at the end could almost be priceless.
As far as mounting it on your 5-Ton...

Thank you for applying your skills to the jeep that you rebuilt. Thanks for supporting their reunion and lighting up the eyes and faces of the men who drove and survived in the service of our country. Even though the public back then didn't welcome them back with open arms - those of us here...
