Where did you check for voltage to verify " loses all power to the control panel. "?

Fermont MEP-804A Dies after releasing start switch.

Are there any fault lights lit after you release S1 to Prime/Run and it stalls?

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

Yes it is. Here is the TM adjustment Procedure... ADJUSTMENT 1. Release control panel by turning two fasteners and lower control panel slowly. 2. Disconnect wire 147C from terminal 16 and wire 148C from terminal 17 of governor control unit (WP 0043, Figure 1, Item 56). 3. Set multimeter for...

Did you adjust the depth of the MPU per the -24 TM and verify it was putting out 2-3 volts AC?

    Bingo

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

Magnetic Pickup Unit. It's a sensor screwed into the bellhousing and senses the lobes of the flywheel whizzing by and generates an AC voltage with varying frequency. The frequency it send out is used by the A5 to know what the engine RPM is.

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

Just a hunch but you may want to check the MPU. If it's not working the A5 won't know what the engine RPM is.

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

Do you have power at the outlet? If so then the issue is the contactor isn't closing when you lift and release the contactor switch. When running press the contactor lamp to test the light and see if it illuminates. If it does lift and hold the up switch and see if the lamp illuminates. If you...

That's the correct resistor for use with Libby Regulator

T1 as I recall is the transformer you need to check to be sure it's the Libby version

R16 is on the back of the 50/60 Hz switch

    Mep805a voltage reg kit.

The transformer in the second picture is not the transformer you need to check. In the picture is the current transformer. That one stays the same regardless if Libby or TRC. Dud the set come with a bad Libby regulator in it or was it missing?

New Member 803a fires but won't run.

Assuming the new L5 is wired correctly.... From looking at the schematic the hold signal comes from the K12 Engine Fault relay. If the set thinks it has an engine fault upon startup it will enable the K12 Fault relay and cause L5 to loose it's HOLD signal so that the engine shuts down. That...

On the new solenoid did come with instructions with what wire did what. There should be Ground wire, a Pull wie and a Hold wire. Need to match them up with the wire designation in the TM. If the starter still grinds when it's running and you move S1 to start indicates that the starter lockout...
