    MEP 805B 806B screen dim/bright tool build

They are built following the MCII Inc drawing number 29763. I added potting inside of the shrink tubing on the switch to prevent the cable from flexing to eliminate the wires from breaking. The picture below is the cable assembly minus the back shell for the 100 pin SCSI connector. (The back...

    MEP 805A GENERATOR

I you haven't already done so download a copy of TM 9-6115-644-24. It has the info in there in the schematics section at the end to the TM. Here is the info from the TM on how to wire the S1 switch. The numbers closest to the switch are the wire numbers such as 180D. Each wire in the set has...

Redux: MEP 803a no power to main lugs

If the set sat unused for a long period of time corrosion may have crept into the various switch's such as S1, S5, S6, S8 and others. "Exercising" them with the set NOT running can help with any contact issues. Better yet spray contact cleaner such as Deoxit into the switch openings, if...

    MEP-804B Overvoltage Shutdown

As I recall the exciter winding draws 1 amp or less from no load to full load. If the VR is putting out say 2 amps of current into the exciter I could see it overvolting and not blowing the 3 amp fuse.

    MEP-804B Overvoltage Shutdown

Was the TRC VR you put in a known good one? Have you performed the tests in the -24 TM for the VR and the voltage adjust pot?

    MEP-804B Overvoltage Shutdown

Actually it's a Brown, Black Gold Gold. That's the correct resistor for a TRC VR.

    MEP-804B Overvoltage Shutdown

Does the set have the correct T1, R16 & Voltage adjust potentiometer to work with the TRC VR you put in? A set with a Libby VR uses different T1, R16 & Voltage adjust potentiometer.

    Puzzled on an 803

If the overvoltage light is on this will prevent the primary fuel pump from running and prevent the starter from engaging. When the fault monitor thinks there is a fault the relay K12 is tripped killing the starter and fuel pump. K12 is the fault relay. I suspect your K4 Overvoltage relay may...

    MEP-803A No Crank

Not having any power at MT4 is the place to start. Need to find out why 24 volts isn't getting there. There are two wires that get 24 volts power from K2-A1 and run to plug P6 pins 21 and 22. The two wire numbers are 109F and 109L. Check that you have 24 volts at K2-A1. If you do then... Then...
