Anyone know anything about this mount? I saw some of these recently at Ft Sam Houston on M1078's. This appears to be a very recent development for the FMTV fov. There is supposed to be a sugar scoop or something attached to that plate that mounts the usual SINCGARS antenna.
The p/n on the...
Does this truck look familiar? Steyr trucks in Europe are about as plentiful as Internationals are here. Someone finally connected the European aftermarket with the FMTV collector market. I tried but ran into a language barrier.
I would say just remove the belts and leave it. If you sell the truck, the next owner may really appreciate it being there. Otherwise, the alternator is in great demand here as they burn up frequently. Place a classified ad. Make sure to remove the pulley and attach it to the remaining...
Does your SEE run? I have a driver bringing a truck to Texas from NC and will be looking for a load back east on Tues-Wed. He has a drop deck trailer with ramps.
So far Veritread is working out for me. For better or worse, brokers are a necessary part of the transportation process. They can find you an eastbound empty truck leaving RRAD out of the hundreds that go there every day.
Change the evaporator to the 2G version with the 4 vents. The 1G is a leftover design from the HIMARS and it would appear S&S knew it was not cutting it and had Red Dot come up with the new larger evaporator.
That is a very nice M43. You also live in a very nice neigborhood. I trust you understand that cannot be left in your driveway for more than a day or so without stirring up a poo storm.
My guess is the reason the gen 2 evaporator is so much physically larger than the gen 1 is because it has a lot more BTU capacity as apparently was needed for Iraq. So if you are using the gen 1 evap with high capacity other components, there is your mismatch.
OK. What we are often seeing on these is the rear axle disc brake calipers won't release fully and so far the reason why is a mystery. Arvin Meritor, the mfg of the axle assemblies, is not supporting this product. So many agencies are stuck with an unsupported platform. Good luck.
The troop seats on the 211 are the same as M35A2. See if you can find someone who is "bobbing" or repurposing a truck in your area and snag them. These troop seats are too expensive to ship motor freight.
If you had Hawker AGM batteries (no vent caps), they easily come back from the dead with an AGM charger. They then might have outlasted the new 8Ds you just bought with routine AGM conditioning charging.
What you want to do is no problem. Just make 100% sure the batteries are properly held down with no chance of the hold down bracket touching the cables/terminals.
