For smitts and giggles lets check the timing. HB on it's correct mark, four bolt advance window on it's mark and red / scribe on the Head gear just about one tooth off it's pointer to the rear. She is getting fuel that's for sure. Also injector lines in correct order.
Well I am not the best teacher and can drag things out but bottom line. If the system has not been opened / fuel filters changed or opening a fuel feed line and allowing air into the system the truck has a head full of fuel and it's feed line is full of fuel even with a non working in tank pump...
You think there are any virgins left and thanks for the post. Yea I thought about a reworked Dana and as I said in the other post I was hoping Steve 6x6x6 would cut down the one side to match the rear off set as he is just down the street. Sad but true he said he is done building axles. Seems...
Call to bug them again and I was a day late and a dollar short. They just sold all the parts to make the switch for the 4.89 ratio. He said it might be 6 to 8 months before they make the order to make a run and to see if there is enough interest to order another run. Was wondering if anyone here...
Just a thought about air in the system for anybody to check. First would be the bleeder at the secondary filter when the alleged air is in question, When you have the problem before you try and start the engine again just turn on just the in tank and check for a good steady stream with no air in...
Thanks guys talked to Vintage this morning. I have decided with all the other projects I have going on I will remove the whole axle and drop it off to them. That way get er done right by someone that has ridden that horse before. Can you say road trip from Fl. to Iowa.
I thought the ground was through the panel to the cab. Would not if the ground was through the sending unit would that not make the the gaged peg out and not read correct.
Had a couple of weak spots in the plywood in the front so I am replacing all the forward wood. Not bad getting it out and new cut to size. Just waiting on Amazon for the Torx head screws I like to use so come on Amazon. Then new vinyl and we are good to go.
To me if there was no problem before now it is starting then it would seem like it needs a new clutch. Has it been leaking oil out of the drain hole. Also been a long time since I worked on a Deuce but when I adjusted my clutch after replacement I took off the small four bolt bottom inspection...
Been awhile but I do not remember a ground wire to the panel. Thought it got its ground when we tighten the screws on the panel to the dash. Thought there was someone that said if gages start acting wonkey for no reason loosen all four screwy things and tighten them back down and or tighten up...
Here you can see the delivery valve with the little spring. If the pic came out well enough you can see the slot. Kind of reminds me of a needle and seat you see in a carburetor and float set up.
Yep the most common problem with air in the system seems to be the rubber hose on the in tank pump in the tank. It does not take much pressure just need to keep a little flow going through the head for it to start. Yes good to have the correct pressure to help performance but if the system is...
Ok myself here is where I might start. First have all three fuel filter or know that you have all three good filters. Then in running down a no start fuel problem it is easer if the in tank fuel pump is working. Myself I just open the bleeder screw between the secondary fuel filter and final...
Ok I will be patient but 29 views and no response? Next question if you please. From the TM 3400 rpm is the governed engine speed if I read it correctly. The choice of gear ratio is what I would like to have help with. I would like to truck to be geared to at 3400 rpm then the speed would fall...
