You would be more than welcome at the GA Rally in Oct......bringing the plane would be a real coup...you would be the first person to bring an aircraft.
I don't know if there is an airstrip nearby.
This happened to me a few weeks ago at Redstone......I pulled up the the gate and shut the M275 off to get my day pass.
When I jumped back in the batts were dead and I was thinking I was screwed.
There is a slight incline at the gate and I was alone in the "get your pass lane"...the guards...
I like the idea of headers...run 3 inch pipes into dual shorty truck mufflers and have stacks.
Should give you a good mellow sound and low restriction.
I have looked at them myself with some interest.....not sure if there is a pratical use for one other than intended purpose....maybe a private fire fighting vehicle.
The cabover design could make for some interesting custom rigs....I have seen them with 5th wheels on them. Some of them are gas...
Try USHIP or one of the other on line shipping brokers.
You might also check with a local flatbed company that has a partial load headed east and could fit the Hummer on or some independent trucker looking for a back haul.
That's all I got.
Welcome to the Green Iron Loony Bin:cookoo:.
If you can get to Sand Rock (north of Gadsden) I'll be happy to give you a ride in my work deuce.
I also have one that may be for sale.....still debating on bobbing it.
PM for contact info.
I regularly drive and tow vehicles off Redstone.
I always have a valid tag and proof of insurance for my prime mover.
GL has never asked for proof but if Murphy gets ahold of you and you need to produce proof of insurance to the MP's (for whatever reason) you might be screwed.
Any driving...
I am about 12 miles off I-59 (Collinsville exit).
If you come down through Chattanooga and Birmingham I can help if you have trouble.
PM for contact info.
I'll get some possum out of the freezer....
Errrrrr....doesn't GA have a state lottery? Appearently gambling is only legal when ran by the state.
That was not a hostile move PB....just thought you might want to donate an artifact to the cause.
The further west you go the higher the prices seem to be for deuces.
I have sold nice winch trucks with HT, heater, good tires, tarps and bows for 2800......but that was when I was paying 1000 each for them.
You have to consider supply and demand.....the less there are in your area the more...
I don't want to complicate a great event....maybe the auction is a better idea....the AL chapter of the MVPA does one at their Tannerhill event every year with the proceeds going to the MV museum in Huntsville.
I don't think we would be competing with the vendors on a big scale....they have...
Point well taken Cpt......I guess it depends on how much stuff we get (assuming that we do it).
Since I am donating one of my prized farm raised, free range possums alive and on the hoof I can see where there may be tranportation issues.rofl
I guess it would depend on how much stuff we had donated.
More lots means selling more chances and I like the KISS principle.
I would rather buy one chance at 25 bucks and stand to gain a large lot than buy several chances on small lots.
Nothing is set in stone. If we decide to do this we...
I hope they throw in a couple of tubes of Prep H.......that is going to be a looooooong drive.
If it doesn't have a springer seat in it I would have them put one in before you drive back to Memphis.
Good luck on the grand adventure.
