Myself and Clinto had a discussion about this.
My suggestion was that folks attending could donate an item from their stash and on Sat night we would raffle the whole lot off. The money could be used to make next years rally better and some some could be donated to SteelSoldiers if the...
I'll buy that for a dollar!!!![thumbzup]
I have a candidate for the project.....has 1100x20 super singles on it.:jumpin:
I could have the bed off it when I get it there (assuming I can find somone to drive it since I wii be dragging the van trailer with the M275.
We might even raffle it...
GL Redstone (AL) has been selling 105's and 101's in lots of two recently.
There is a much bigger demand for the 101 since it can be pulled by a full size pickup truck.
Siminars are always a good way to show new guys how to do maint on their trucks.
If someone wants to organize one I'm sure "Boss Hogg" (Clinto) will put it on the agenda.
A good time to have it would be after the Sat trail rides after the trucks have had some exercise.
The parallels between our relationships with Japan and China are interesting.
Prior to WWII Japan was buying our scrap mjetal and using it to build a formidable military....when they attacked China and Korea we stopped selling them scrap and made moves to limit their acccess to crude oil. This...
China is doing to us what we did to the Russians in the Cold War.
They are getting us into an expensive arms race that could end up bankrupting us like it did the Ruskies.......we outspent them.
They could not compete with "Star Wars" and stealth technology.
We later found out that they...
According to the story I read they are carrying a new anti-aircraft carrier missile.
It is supposed to be able to hit a moving carrier after defeating all the carrier group's defenses.
We should nuke them now and avoid the rush later.
You would have the best of both worlds there.....plenty of camping and MV's to check out.
The weather is usually mild (chilly at night) and you will be welcome to ride in someones rig if you want to do a trail ride.
If you have checked out the GA Rally thread you know this is a family...
Could be a linkage adjustment out of whack.
I have a deuce that won't go into low range.
Did everything I could but it looks like a transplant is in order.
I backed the deuce up the the loading dock at Redstone....the loading ramp is low so step decks can load/offload......I had a set of ramps but there would have been a steep angle to drive up.
Adam, Teresa's son, picked the front of the deuce up in the air with a huge forklift to lessen the...
OSB......I don't plan that far ahead but if nothing pops up it sounds like a good idea.
I need to do a complete service on the M275 and my yard deuce...it never ends.
I'll PM you next week.
Thanks for the offer.
I have seen the prices fluctuate wildly since I started buying through GL...my first deuce cost me 2300 plus the buyers fee and tax.....600 to have it hauled from SC to AL.
It was a winch truck with hard top and was loaded with tools and equipment.
It had a "redneck gun turret" made out of a...
The military made training films for most vehicles (before the puter age) but they were dry and boring as ell. Most of them were on how to drive, maintain and repair them.
I remember one when I went through the Transportation School that showed how to properly do Preventitive Maintenence Checks...
I disremember the amperage...prob in the TM.....in a slow blow fuse the filiment is thicker so that a surge will not blow it unless
it gets too extreme. If my son had not repoed his digital I would post some pics of them.
They do not have a clear glass body....looks like some sort of ceramic...
As I stated before I will be leaving Wed. morn.
I will leave the LZ and hit Hwy 411 at Leesberg, AL, north to Cave Springs, GA...south on Hyw 100 to Cedartown, HWY 27 south to I-20, I-20 east to Mile Marker 138 and then north to Durhamtown.
If need be I can go east out of Cedartown on Hwy...
