If you can, pull the part and take it into any heavy truck/trailer part shop.
Its a standard part. Not Military special
They should be able to fix you right up.
Installed new brakes on my other M101A2 yesterday.
While underneath bleeding brakes, I noticed one of the shocks has forklift damage.
Ive read the old threads on replacement part numbers and it seems the NAPA #NS 76992 is the only true direct fit gas shock replacement shock.
Anyone have...
It all takes time to absorb for sure.
I read about CUCVs/5 tons everyday. Still learning myself.
Yea, no tags will guarantee a stop.
The K9 sounds like a bit much, but I wasn't there.
You know that NOS factory GM CUCV seat covers can be usually found on the classifieds here and on a well known auction site?
Both the M1008/M1009 covers for good prices.
Sounds like your off to a good start.
Truck looks good.
All the issues your having have been covered before so don't sweat it.
Usually a search will bring up the threads with the particular info.
Dont forget to download the TMs and read up on the CUCVs sticky threads.
What were the...
ECU wasn't the problem.
New one did exact same thing.
No leaks still.
Guess I will start replacing all valves and pressure switches.
Anyone have the pressure switches let me know. New only, no used.
Wheel Valves I can easily find.
Its been a while since Ive seen an H1 in person and forgot about no pintle.
Reciever hitch only explains the nose low.
You are correct about them also being a bit nose low on the M998.
Still looks good.
Chap stick like mentioned.
Bar soap works too
There is also a product specially to lube zippers.
Any good sewing shop will have it.
Hobby Lobby should have it also.
Woukd rather have zippers than snaps on a tarp anyday.
Looks like you scored.
Another one saved!
Anytime you can find one without rust rot is a great day.
The truck, while having a few bruises, doesn't have the dreaded GP forklift damage.
I'm just shooting from the hip,
but what about pressurizing the tank?
Not a lot of course.
Just enough to help maybe push past whatever is possibly causing a blockage.
Local GSA auction
Been looking for one for two years and found it 30 miles away.
Best thing it was filled with stuff including 2000 weather balloons.
Sold all the balloons and it more than paid for the shelter.
What I mean is it will not move again.
Once its down on the concrete pad, it will be tied down with cables (after paint) and never move.
It will serve as a mini cabin in a remote part of the ranch.
Has a small frig, gun safe, small desk, military all steel bunk bed and other goodies.
No tv...
