    The m109 boxes are 90% basket cases. Very poor build quality imho. I was sad to see mine go, but that faded quickly when I thought about all the work it needed.

    There is NO power converter in the m109a3 stock. The box in the back is for power input of 110 and 24v. Nothing is converted.

    Yup, torque the nuts, set the gap, I'd also pull the injectors and have them serviced.

    Thats just a normal thing for the original head gaskets. In the 2nd pic, you can see the designed tab thats meant to "weep". Id just re torque the nuts and not worry about it.

    Yup, scrap dealers are the worst. I worked for one and if he couldn't get retail or more, it sat at the yard.

    Well, nobody knows what your working on yet. I'd guess a 5ton but I'm not sure. Gear oil should not leak out, there is a seal to prevent that, I think.
