The Cummins 855 CID inline 6 engines are too long. The engine compartment is not much bigger than a mulitfuel 5 ton. He is looking at great complexity attempting to mate a newer engine to the Mack transmission/transfer unit. I would say find another LeRoi, the surplus dealers will be happy to...
Congrats on a great truck, a multifuel truck going through depot overhaul that late in time is a rarity. Looks to have CARC paint job. In Viet Nam, the M54/A0/A1/A2 carried everything imaginable used by the troops, from ammo to rations. Some were equipped as "gun trucks" which provided convoy...
Unfortunate. Verify it is the transfer case by draining it and see how many teeth come out the hole. It could also be an axle. The bright side is that lots of transfer cases were saved from the hundreds of Mississippi trucks that were scrapped. It's no fun to swap one, I can tell you.
No idea about Nankang tires, but at least they are not chinese. Tell us about these blowouts. You're having blowouts in the few blocks between the strip and your facility?

Circuit breaker inside the 3 lever light switch is cycling. It could be a momentary short to ground somewhere, too much load, or a weak circuit breaker.
RoadsideMasters.com constantly sends me emails, $350/yr for units 2008 and older. This is for towing, tire, mechanic, winching, everything. Intended for owner operators and small fleets.
Mine is a Sullair so it is similar but not the same. I suspect someone who did not know what they were doing tried to fix your compressor and changed some linkages around because they missed the leaking copper pipe.
I'll tell you how my gas Sullair 125 works. When you start the engine, the throttle is wide open and the unloader valve is wide open. It runs like this until it reaches 125 PSI or so, at which time the pressure control gradually simultaneously closes the unloader and moves the throttle to...
