I have searched and searched and cannot come up with this info. Most of the FMTVs I have seen have the radio mount neatly tucked behind the co-driver's seat and not in the center position as required by the MK2400 and 2715 mounts. What is the MK number of this mount? Who has one for sale...
To update this thread, BAE completely abandoned the SD Brazos product when they lost the FMTV contract. All factory inventories of parts went either to a few secondary sources, or to the trash or scrap. Oshkosh does not supply/manufacture the unarmored cab or any parts for it.
Sometimes the serial number and or registration number is written on the sides of the van in grease pencil. Those numbers had to be available when the item was turned in. There seem to be two mfgrs of these, Spencer Safford and Southwest Truck Body. The Spencer Saffords were very early 1960s...

Welcome. The 915 fills the bill for your 2000 mile runs, but my experience with the stock 11R22.5 rubber on wet grass and a loaded trailer is that the truck will just not move with tires (all of them) spinning. You might need to upgrade to '395s'.
The registration number is the military's equivalent to a license plate number. Each truck is assigned an unique number upon acceptance by the various branches. Army wheeled vehicles begin with "N".
Welcome to Steel Soldiers. Here is my crack at it, don't start cutting stencils until we have a consensus.
(This is for the re-org)
Left side: 80ID 780 OM
Right Side: TRK 23
The "TRK 23" is the fictional 23rd truck assigned to the 780th.
