Curious... I know you can pull the Drum and Hub (spyder) and both Wheels all in one motion with a jack made to do that - but without taking the axle out - to get to the nuts that hold the hub on I can't see it happening.
Am I missing something?

I know a couple of guys here have used a...

Hi Larry,
Welcome to Steel Soldiers!
Guessing you just joined up to get some help with your MEP - as well as being introduced to this bunch of fine folks here. :)
You might get more attention to your post if you put one in the Generator Section...

Welcome to the outfit! I see that you have joined up with the rest of us owning a "little green monster".
Not sure what may be possible for an engine - but there are guys here who are pretty good at finding things. She should have the word "Comet" on the intake manifold. It's a 331 Reo...

Just fishing... If you turn off the ignition off, the electric fuel pump in the tank stops. Right?
Wonder if a couple of gallons of good clean fuel in a bucket or similar to the in and out ports on the IP - gravity feed - would prove the head is good or that the tank is nasty or maybe lines...

Welcome to the outfit "Carroll" and happy that you joined the group.
Looking forward to having your new-to-you truck pictured here!
Being called Shelby is pretty neat...
Nice bunch of guys that gave you really cool birthday present!

Simp5782 is a good source for tires on this side of the country.
I would guess the 4 to 5k price plus fees on the M1088 would be double or more by the time you did what needs to be done. Just changing the fluids and filters, changing seals and making any obvious minor repairs would be...

You have the M934, so you have "real" air brakes. Applying air to the left (drivers) side gladhand will release the parking brakes.
Park on flat ground and CHOCK YOUR WHEELS just to be safe.
Check your "house" air compressor pressure. 120#, and no more than 150#
Get yourself a gladhand...

Agreed! My close to the ground comment was the popup camper being in the bottom of the bed. Low center of gravity was my point. Campers pulled behind a truck, car, or van would be about 80 inches. Lots of room left out behind the popup for sure!

You asked about how many pictures... I believe there is a limit of 10 per post and you can post pictures until you get tired.
About the air problem... Do you by chance happen to have "house air" at your house / shop? Or an air compressor just sitting there in the garage waiting to...

Wonder if there is some sort of dye that would do the job? Especially going from a light color to a darker color. Long years ago, I think NAPA had some sort of dye that would color the seats and dash in a car or truck.

The M1088 is a 6x6 tractor that you could remove the 5th Wheel from and remove all the other excess baggage from. By default they have no winch and even if they do it is a side-saddle SRW (Self Recovery Winch). You are going to work hard to get those bolts off the frame. They do not hack...

Interesting paint job on it. I guess we could call it Green Incognito - or the Grape Escape.
Like the other guys said, fuel filters seem like the place to start. Welcome to the Steel Soldiers organization. Make use of the books. They will tell you how to swap the fuel filters the...
