The tic indicates a hg blown but seepage is designed into the old by. If you look bathe the intake side between the head and the block, and you see tabs sticking out. That's the old style.
I have some new gaskets if you decide you need them, send a pm.
Ehh, its like anything else, some like the old, some like the new.
I'd say they BOTH have their issues, but the fmtv is more expensive to fix with the Cat motor. More electrical issues too.
Well that and the old saying "it takes a village to raise a child".
Now a days parents hardly take interest, or want to be the childs friend instead of teacher.
I am grateful for the wisdom my parents taught me at a young age and wish more folks would "parent".
Funny you should say that, I have an m116 cover thatsin great shape aside from the stiching has come apart. Once I catch up on some bills, I plan on having a canvas shop make some new covers.
Rotting thread might actually help the canvas shop. I'm sure they'll have to pull it apart for patterns, might make it easier on them. If you go that route, ask how much for 1 and how much for 5. I'd wager others would be interested.
I couldn't find the website I found the info at, but here is an interesting article. It even says new ULSD has all the lubrication the old diesel had!
