Excellent work with the trucks. Sounds like a good business venture as well. A little nomenclature nit pick, the early 5 tons were known as M39 series.
I would install a sub panel next to the main panel and move the loads the mep can handle to it. Put your xfer switch between the two panels. The supervisory plc needs some form of ups.
Your wife is the best. You have correct banjo axles. Your vin is the motor number, that was used for titling long ago. The real vin as posted above is only on a data plate in the cab.
If the letters are raised, remove old paint, repaint with flat black, sand the letters and graphics using 400 grit and your finger. Overcoat with clear.
I am dreading the day mine does this. Almost always the prob is in the air manifold on top of the trans. It comes out thru the floorboard. Cat has most of the rebuild parts.
Any size battery will work. Takes two. All 12 wheel cyl are the same. Bring one to a NAPA and see if they can get fresh kits. Otherwise Memphis Equipment.

M135s are not underpowered. I think the op needed to rebuild his engine. Mine is 030 over and runs like a scalded dog. I run mine at 55 mph all the time, and it will flat tow another deuce at 45 mph.
