please identify these 28-volt power supplies

The green one says "missile command" so whatever it fits into is no doubt demilled and gone. The second white one is a voltage regulator for the 200 amp (IIRC) alternator in 1960's tanks.

    I am finished

Wow! Excellent restoration! Love the correct hard top enclosure with the oval window! A little bit of 1940's style on an otherwise utilitarian truck. The large unit markings are unique but also correct.

Pretty sure I need new batteries...

If they are 6TLMF's or whatever they call them, 2 years is tops for them. You can try to hot charge them for a couple days but all that will do is buy you a some months before you get stranded somewhere. Can you tell I hate 6TL's? I expect 5 years from an expensive battery, not 2.

    problem with all lights

My guess is a weak circuit breaker inside the 3 lever light switch.

    Anybody got M880 restoration tips?

I sandblasted and zinc oxide primed my 880 cab, thinking that would protect it from rust. Nope, it rusted from the inside out, from places where there is no primer behind the headliner. Seal up all the seams in the roof as best you can after sandblasting.

Any ideas what vehicle these are for?

Looks like oxygen/acetylene bottle brackets for a SECM body.

    GPW Numbers

Sorry Bikeman, not correct. GPW's S/N is stamped on the glovebox door on the main data plate, and on the top of the frame, on the driver's side, under the hood, to the rear of the shock mount. The Willys MB's had the S/N on the frame horn, and M38's /A1's behind the seat like you said. If...

    M211 Windshield

    '51 to '55 M135, M211, M215, M220, M215 all the same. Frame is wider than M35/M54.

    Recent LMTV out of Hooks

It closed over 20 k which puts it at over 22K with fees. My theory is there was something catastrophically wrong with it to get an unserviceable "X". Otherwise other agencies such as fire depts, etc, would have scooped it up.

My 4l80E install in my 1009, current progress

I wonder why the TCI controller needs the engine rpm signal and the us shift quick1 controller does not. That Dakota Digital DSL2 makes the whole install too complex IMO.

Do you plan to make this a static display or a floater? If you want to fix it to where it will float, you still have DAYS of disassembly before it is ready to blast.

    REO-331 service parts ?

Oil Filter Fram C31. Fuel filter is in tank and typically does not get replaced. Ignition parts are all military and available from any of the dealers.

    M211 Holley 885-FFG rebuild help.

You may need to soak the piston in oil or gas to get it pliable again. It should go in and out easily.

M871 trailer with S280 shelter, anyone have pics?

Putting the 280 on the 871 is a chain/strap down affair, none of the 871's iso container clips are compatible. I have never used my 871 once since getting it. The low bed trailers are so much more useful than the dock height trailers for most of what we do.

What is the part number of the TPS? Where do you get it? The Optishift looks like the way to go for sure!

    Towing a M101A2

My 4 cyl Ranger towed one of these just fine, with the trailer back end way up in the air.

Agreed! The gama goat tires would hold up under a duck when they were about 15 years younger. As for engine, drop in a good running 302 from a M-series GMC. Worked great for Jack Tomlin (RIP). The 270 is kinda pitiful in a duck.

    8.3 big cam turbo conversion

It took Cummins 15 years of painstaking development to get the 250 Cummins engine to produce 400 horsepower (Big Cam 400). Somebody should have told them all that needed to be done was slap on a turbocharger.

    2600mile recovery :)

The only difference between the 60 amp alt on the 250 and the CTA is the pulley.
