Best I could determine - with a little guessing - that Capri impact wrench uses about 6cfm @ 90#. The air tank that you would be using from appears to be 5 gallons (Just a GUESS on my part). On a good day, I would imagine busting one lug nut off before you run out of air. Then it is time...

Would be interested in how this thing works and how easily (or not) it might be to diagnose the problem you have.
Pictures maybe? Your interpretation of what it told you?
.
Wow! Nice job of documenting the process.
Fixing that sort of thing makes you feel good when it's done - but there isn't a lot of "show" when you finish.
The drip lip for gear oil was a major plus!

Well then, WELCOME to the outfit. There are lots of guys here who have opinions and skills to share. I hate to say I know nothing about the HMMWV other than they look pretty cool. You should snap a few pictures of your new truck and post them here to show your progress as you get it road...

Yes Sir! You are right frank8003
Discovering how the cam on the bottom of the shoe(s) functions really is magic.
The hardest part is teaching the goal.
GOAL is to have as much shoe to drum contact as possible.
EVEN contact being the key...

Same here in North Carolina. Some things zip right in. Other things should have arrived here by freight truck in a day have taken more than a week. There is no reasoning to it. I just fuss about it and blame it on our government.
.
TruckPro seems to qualify as good people and have quite a lot of parts "on the shelf".
The guys here in Charlotte seem to have a positive attitude and are willing to go the extra mile...
.
I have to agree with you... I have made two trips to Butner NC recently.
I have to say it is obvious that THEY CARE about being helpful.
They lift your stuff onto your transportation (trailer) without stabbing holes into containers etc.

Tracer, what about having the pictures in TB 43-0147 for how to draw out the camo shapes? You could paint the entire truck in 343 and let it dry for a month or so - then come back at it with some chalk to mark out the shapes. Might even be that the first few Black or Tan shapes could be...

Hi Mike.
Something worth considering is a thing called the "M939 Series Interactive Systems Guide". It has electrical diagrams in it for sure. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/upload/939/M939_P2P.zip
The TM with electrical diagrams... Not as easy, but I was able to pull out just the...

Welcome from North Carolina!
You've joined up with a good crowd.
Lots of "eye candy" in green or brown available here!
Don't hesitate to ask questions and take advantage of the Technical Manual (TM) library. The TM's tell you how to operate the machine you are considering. The -10...

Any chance that there is a rebuild kit for that box?
The situation with what I am working on is that turning the wheel causes nothing for a few seconds and then the truck turns.
That monster steering box barfs fluid and bad words are said...
.
Wow.
Well, I guess now that you are down to a few trailers, your M915 and M37.
Heck, you might have earned yourself some recliner time since you got rid of that patch of dirt. :)
.
Thanks Owen. I just managed to miss the earlier part of the thread. Your info brings back memories of a 67 Camaro with a big box on the firewall with the ability to adjust alternator output. I had completely forgotten about that...
.
Any chance you checked output at the generator or at the batteries with a Fluke Meter possibly?
Those gauges aren't always correct. Looking at it, I see it right in the high edge of green or low red...
How was it measuring before you installed the new batteries?
.
I believe they aren't paying for it, so they aren't as motivated as we are.
Those guys see hundreds of vehicles with assorted "beat marks" on them.
What is one more dent to them...
Not the best way to run a railroad, but the alternative is having no help at all.
You were quick enough...
