Bob what was the other military wheel that fit right on the front. The MK48? it can be run with the HEMTT rims and 1600 on the rear because the size is just about the same if you want super singles.
Still have to grind away some drum for them to clear the valve stem.
I bought some reconditioned wheels and 11x24.5 tires and the wheels were still not correct. They did not have valve stem problem but they also hit the drum just a tad and did not seat completely up to the drum. They looked...
Yea when I did the HEMTT rim and 1600 I had to grind down the front drum on the 920. The rear axles don't need it done. Feels really weird grinding off metal on something that is there to stop you. I sold the truck but replaced the front drums and put the stock wheels back on. Lucky I had two...
Are you letting off the throttel or hitting netrual. Don't think it will disengage under drive line load.
That plunger /piston is spring loaded so just needs air to ingage.
I got these at a rally. All the boot has is MFR6K104 now the first sticker does not have anything. What's funny is the sticker under the first sticker has MFR6k404. Now if people would write down there MFR # before install.
Maybe when Rusty gets feeling better he can look at his repair manual. Then we can see the amount of oil his wants put in the piston chamber for servicing.
Still reading myself. From what I see the load sensing goes to the relay valve. Now it would not seem that the load sensing could effect the spring brake system? Are you sure the front glad hand on the passenger side is open and not venting air back. If I remember something vents up to that glad...
I don' know and am reading as much as I can. As long as bypassing or trying to get rid of it did not cause the wheels to lock up even with a light touch of the brake peddle when empty?
Don't know but seems like every time the passenger side glad hand is talked about when there is a problem to. The end hand has to have the vent and the one way check valve has to be working so as not to push air back into the braking system.
Yea Will seems to be pretty hot on the FMTV stuff. You...
There seems to be a correct way to set it up so if you have not read the whole TM. I scanned the first page to give you the TM number and what page it starts on. Maybe it's like the old brake system on a car that had the ball in the line at the master cylinder and you had to bleed the system one...
Rustystud started to get a nice TM together on the air pack but I don't think it ever got updated with the rest of the pages. Maybe he could finish it off because it looked like a good one. Or maybe he could look and see what his book says for the lubercation if nothing else.
