Picked up two already on eBay for such a hard to find genuine GM part.
CUCV 6.2 throttle cable
Few still left
and no, I have no affiliation with the seller
Just passing along info
Zerostart
Block heaters aren't fun to install
I wouldn't want to do it twice to save $4
My 06 duramax has a GM (zerostart) from the factory
I'm approaching 375,000 miles on it and it still heats up the block great !
Mine does exact same thing
New Hawker batteries
12..9-13.0v rested reading. Load test perfect
both Alts rebuild few weeks ago
Moving Alts to others position didn't help
14.6 G1. 14.7 G2
29.3v
New belts
All original electric system
Good grounds
bulb contacts cleaned and greased
Lights...
I have installed the zerostart block heaters in all my MV's
Excellent quality
The 5 tons were a much easier install for sure.
My 06 duramax has factory one and still going strong
Quite a number of old threads that cover the install in great detail.
Block heater is definitely worth the time and money.
I havent used mine yet
It was 15 the other morning and she fired right up.
Will plug it in for sure if it gets colder than that.
Agree
I was lucky and both were NOS while listing said used.
All leads and probes and Hz? testers included
Did the fuze test according to manual and all checked out good!
Both had the military manuals
Easier to read and understand
For me at least
Going to buy two more for gifts for...
I've been asked via PM's who I bought these from on *bay
It was an individual who only had the two. It was not a store that has tons of stuff listed.
The person does not and will not get anymore of the meters.
I asked
thanks
Agree
Your Fluke is just fine.
I did not have a meter at all and needed one.
This thread was more for the folks who had a Harbor Freight, cheapo
meter and wanted to upgrade to a high quality meter.
Luckily I stumbled upon these when searching for info on another Fluke model.
These do everything I want and need for hundreds less.
Was going to purchase the Fluke 28ll and saw a link to these.
Now I will take the $$$ I saved for more CUCV spare parts !!
Thank you for this website
Without it, working on my MV's would have been
much much more difficult.
Thanks to all that have the knowledge about these trucks
and have been very helpful with any issue to keep these
trucks alive and kicking.
Thank you
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Received meters in the mail
Wow!!!!
These meters are built like tanks !
20+ years old but will still hold its own with the new 28ll model
Both are NOS and complete sets
Listing said used. They weren't.
One even had the original invoice sheet
US Govt paid $572.47 each. In 1989.
One for...
Kinda hard to get a full swig when it's only one, maybe two gallons diluted within 20 or so
Mixed like that works fine
I wouldn't go anymore than that
It works in a $16 million dollar helo
it will work in a $6k truck
The additives mentioned work just
fine also
I personally run seafoam and...
Just a gallon or two in a full tank will not hurt
We would add some gas to our helos during Arctic operations and it did just fine
Would only raise the EGT 2-3 degrees, if that.
Running with the anti-ice system on raised it more than that
apples to oranges but you get the idea
It...
The two I just bought were listed as "used" but looked brand new.
All probes and testers and paperwork included. Plastic still covering the display.
Ill take the heat if this helps someone get a really nice meter.
Heading to read the rules again. .....
