If you find your missing linkage parts let me know I have 6 m817 parts trucks. Parts are free just pay shipping.
You did grab the lever and all the linkage that is behind to the left of the drivers seat?
The only thing I can add on this is carry a remote starter switch in the truck. If the PCB box or anything other than the starter fails screw in the finger set screw by the electric solenoid and hook up your remote starter switch to get her home. Most mechanical injection deisels if you can...
Was trying to figure a way to carry the spare on the trailer. Ray aka Razer thought a crane on the tractor. So Harbor Fright and now just need the spare tire rack off one of the 809 series and hope is goes as well as the crane on the tractor. Tanks Ray.
Yea agree way under inflated is bad but believe he is running a 923. The rear suspension of that truck is stiff. Running unloaded 5 to 6 pounds lighter hot might let the sidewalls take up just a bit of shock. As many said if you were looking for a soft ride it won't happen with that stock set...
Would have to agree with above, seat and if so cab air ride. Lower tire pressure if not hauling and see if that helps. I have done a few trucks with up grade air ride seats and it was a huge difference.
My .02 nothing 809 series nothing 939 series. Think 20k trucks and not military. Sounds like you are going to be working the rigs so spend the money up front and be done with it with a civi truck that will handle what you need to do for years. If you need a crane of sorts they can be added to...
Yep if you remember someone even had a broken delivery valve spring.
Gimpy in OP's pic the head mark is not one tooth to the rear it looks to me when all the others are on the money?
Thanks simp5782. Yea getting old and forgetting a lot but I remember the thread now and I even posted on it. The good thing about loosing my mind is I can hide my own Easter eggs and have fun finding them.
Wonder if there is a way to install the air tool mist oiler that you attach to the air tool. That way the system gets misted instead of one large amount. Also maybe consider a dryer service and or replace/update your dryer? Thought someone added too much oil at one time and blew out an O ring...
Don't know if that is his problem but I said it before the O ring that everyone says is correct I believe is to big. When we tighten the control shaft down I believe it put the shaft in a bind. I wish I have one of the O rings Ambac had in with the heads I got from GL.
When I time the Deuce I watch the #1 intake open then close. Just because it was closed when you took off the valve cover does not mean anything other than it is closed.
Get old and forgetting things but thought Gimpy had found the easy way to tell if the timing mark for #1 was on TDC. Thought...
I have one and I put a hyd. fitting on the suction side. I can unhook the fuel line right at the PT and prime up/filter change my 5 tons. The fitting just slips into the end of the hose and seals good enough.
