Looks to be WWII vintage. The large hole on the front panel is for the WWII style intervehicular connector. Also, the 7.50-20 tires were commonly used in WWII. Nice score!
Wow. Downrange target. Some advice from personal experience. Render it safe before getting really busy on it by grinding/burning off all the shards from the hits. They are razor sharp and will stab and cut you like a knife as you are working on it.
It's kinda hard to tell how bent it is, but it looks ruined to me. If the two bores are not in perfect alignment, getting the new joint pressed in will be impossible. You might be able to straighten the bore by removing the cross, and then tapping the cup back in the bore, and then inserting...

Thank YOU Elky for passing the info on!! The date I was up there was Monday April 25, and that was the day the first round of tornados were going though just north in Arkansas. That was the uglyest sky I have ever seen.
Well, I thought you guys would be interested in the next chapter of this little Jeep's life. Since I had a trip to Texarkana planned anyway, I brought along a trailer just in case this Jeep was a keeper. It was, thankfully, and she followed me home. I started cleaning her out there at the hotel...
Good Luck! If you need emergency parts support, please PM. I've got a deuce on the deadline that I can pull parts from if needed. Please Please do not flat tow your 14,000 lb deuce behind a F250 down I-10.
