I have never seen any "on the loose", only installed. I tried to pull the material out of a derelict truck once and that did not work. The material is a high density green foam, exactly like the surplus sleeping bag pads you see. An option would be to use those pads to make your own kit...
Not sure what you have in Clovis, but art supply stores have the vinyl letters in the usual 1", 2" and 3" sizes in black and other colors, in the correct font.
Ya think? These tires are not cheap and if the trucks have been sitting on flats for more than 6 months or so, the tires will develop deep cracks that go all the way through to the air.
Good deal! Now comes the agony of pulling the pumpkin and replacing the ring and pinion. If it were me, I would bring it to them and let them install the parts as well. It is quite a complicated operation to set up a ring and pinion, especially if you have never done one.
If you search "air dryer" you will find a post by cornrichard where he has attached the Bendix manual for the air dryer. Very useful info. Not sure about your Granning controller, but I believe it should only be venting if you are moving the tag axle up or down. Most likely a bad O-ring in...
I'll never forget my experience "storm chasing" during hurricane Alicia in 1983. This storm hit Galveston County (near Houston, TX) with 90 mph winds and I was out in the middle of it in a deuce, trying to rescue people who's mobile homes were blown over. During the height of it, a portable...
Well I braved the 50 degree cold to go and check my trailer, mine is missing the pin as well. I did measure the hole in the landing leg, and it is slightly larger than .5" Fortunately, the TM5-9084 manual shows all this "t pin" in great detail, and can be found online here...
Ouch, what on earth could have caused that? As far as parts, I would write down all the numbers on the axle data plate and head down to all the drivetrain parts houses on Houston's east side and see what they come up with for you.
Welcome to the site. I'm going to assume you are talking about a M170 Jeep ambulance. Not sure what you are talking about on the gas heater. If I had a M170 I would contact Weebee Webbing, the owner of that company is a M170 guru. Otherwise, contact all the Jeep Parts vendors and ask them...
I've pulled 53' dry vans, 28' reefers, M172 lowboys, pup vans, 6 ton expandovans, none of which ever came close to hitting anything. The gasser M275 was rated to pull 36,000 lb trailers. The only issue with the M275 is power. Brakes are compensated for by the trailer brakes being available.
OK, probably no wonder I have to ask about this being as I am "NDT", which way are you supposed to point the tread on the Wrangler MT? The tire does not have an arrow. I just mounted up 4 with no regard to the direction, will this look funny?
Congrats! I drove mine without a stack for a few trips, it is really really loud. I think your starter is missing, better call the NG facility and confirm what all is missing!
