WD-40 on the nest will make them find a new place. That little red straw will give you the ability to get some "distance" between you and them. I would test it before you try it on the live critters though...
Funny how it works. Wasps and yellow jackets = evil. Honey Bees, I walk over to...

Welcome to the Green Disease. It is far less compromising that our "current mess" happening in the news. This one doesn't make it hard to breathe - but it definitely attacks your wallet
Sounds like you are well on your way to having a fun truck. Being able to ride a little, then work...
Hi, Elijah95
Mine is a different truck - but at the back end - it about as "tall" as your 7 Ton. When I bought my truck, it had (still has) a drop hitch on it. Today while looking at the Pintle, I found some cracks in the roughly half inch steel. The guy who had it must have pulled some...
I'm not certain, but I think those 6 holes are where the U-Bolts go to support the Convoy Light pole. At least that is what they are for on a 5-Ton... Those little plugs though - are pretty neat if you only have one light pole or maybe none... Less ways for yellow jackets to find a nice place...
I dunno Tyler... I thought the lawn chair passenger seat was pretty classy in the pictures above this. Been there and done something similar. My "alternate seating arrangement" was a pair of milk crates though. Verrry nice upgrade to Air Ride!

Hi Elijah,
M939 series for sure needs it and from the books I have paged through - it appears that the MTVR would benefit from the same. I haven't seen a heated drain on the TMs for that truck.
Hate to admit that I don't own a MTVR. Would like to and will when the right one comes along...
Hi Tyler! Welcome to the site and a worldwide group of green (and tan) MV lovers. There is a tone of information here - and lots of folks willing to lend brainpower.
Be sure to post more pictures of your new rig! We really like to see work in progress!

Yes sir and the Dv2 attached to the first air tank in the line is heated for cold weather and automatically drains the air tank it is attached to while you drive along down the highway - just like the air dryer does.
Do you need it? Don't know for sure. Do you regularly drain the air tanks...
I took Wes Simpson's advise and installed DV2 heated drains. More info at:

Makes perfect sense to me and adding water down low at 8.3 pounds to the gallon will definitely make a difference! Have you done any number crunching to see if the larger tires will improve your road speed? I know they won't do a lot when climbing a long grade, but on flat ground you might...
Something else you may want to consider - IF you watch your gauges carefully:
Ever notice how diesel trucks "wear a blanket" in the winter? Generally a snap on device over some of the grille out front? Years ago I had a Chevrolet pickup that just never would get warm in the winter...
Hi
TJ4man It looks nice. I like the truck... I keep thinking I need one of those. Have to ask though - what caused the need to raise an already top heavy (my opinion) bed by six inches? More room for a generator maybe? Or other things hanging off the frame possibly?
Inquiring minds want...
Happy to hear that everybody made it out alive!
It has been said that it isn't the fall that is the problem - rather the sudden stop at the end of the fall that causes the "hurt".

Another option is a " Universal Box Heater" that would allow about a 12 inch square box with a water in port and a water out port. Has a fan on the box that you mount inside the truck. Quick web search comes in around a hundred bucks and as high as two fifty. That gets the heat IN the truck...
Well... I personally think you got a good deal. It's a nice looking truck. Whistler Turbo sounds neat going down the road too! Got a hard top on it and a nice brush guard on the front too. Appears to have minimal rust too.
Welcome to the hobby!
