Yea we don't want to get them too hot and without a pyro play it safe. When you do get it we will have you drifting around the dirt street corners and kicking up the dust. You might have backed down the fuel from 1600 to 2000 rpm range by backing off the droop. Not a problem to get it all...
Don't mess with the droop. When the throttle peddle is applied it does allow the fuel control to go just a tad bit farther than if it was not applied. Yes back off the outer nut just a tad and mark the inner nut with a black marker and turn it up half a turn after. Then test. If you get a pyro...
I am not trying to tune his motor. We are trying to find out why it does not start without help. If the fuel sleeve is riding to low then to much is spilling out the spill port and it does not get as much fuel per shot. We need to know if the spring has been damaged / rusted out as he said he...
Droop screw would not affect anything about starting. When the motor is off the fuel control is in full fuel position anyway. The only way this motor will run away is people to lazy to remove two screw's on shut down cover and check for fuel control being free.
You can remove the shutdown cover...
Yea lot better than gasoline injection.
Thought about ether as a last ditch but believe when we talked the delivery valve spring might be fubar and the tm also has us checking the overflow being stuck open.
I think vinegar does a good clean up on Alu. but to cover it might just hold moisture again. So myself I might just clean and keep the trailer dry as you can.
I don't know and I only have one left. Wanted to keep it for myself as I still have 5 Deuces. There was a group by of the china heads. The question remains is that the problem. As said when the fuel sleeve is held up longer in the plunger stroke the less the spill port spills. My thought is the...
Yea Kooldadd you are not the first problem child that has come to class so don't feel special.LOL
This is a problem that has come to the black board before and I think bottom line the Head is getting weak. The ports I showed are there when they built the head and are not used for testing. I am...

Six Allen head on the side. Not delivery. Not center plug. I think we might get the pressure from any one of the six. Also could get pressure from removing a Injection line but don't know what would be faster/easer...
Not just the motor your going to pull if you do. Motor/trans and radiator in one shot. Everything makes it out the front just need adjustable sling. Slips out between the head lights. Easy even done it by myself but it is good to have help. I have two OTC one 1500 and the 4k and I use the 4k...
Cheaper than a new/rebuilt head and might be worth the try. I have had people try and turn up the fuel and by hand hold the control assembly fully open and no luck. Holding the fuel peddle down also helps keep the fuel control collar higher. Most collars run around 7 oclock on the control...
