If you can make a tool that you can open the exhaust valves and try and find what cylinder has the fluid then have someone bar the motor while you hold that valve open. Do not use starter. I have done this trick before and it was just one cylinder that I had to clear.
I have the tool so it was...
Yes Neutral /Neutral is a good idea but the main point is leaving the engine kill out and locked. When in doubt pull off the shut down cover and check the fuel control. This maybe should be a service that is done to a good running truck once a year just to see if the fuel control is starting to...
Well the new style can have oil added to the pipe on the air pack it just leaves some oil your elbow when you stick the pipe back on. Just watch out for the O ring.
Also no matter how one would bleed the system I myself would still crack the air pack bleeder. Myself I use the Ace hardware one...
That is also why we never try and start a truck that has been sitting for a long time and the kill is in the run position. Here we need to first remove the two screws off the shut down cover and check the fuel control for free movement.
Yea better not to have it start than start and go to WOT...
Always leave the engine shut down out and locked when leaving the machine. This will help if the fuel control is getting sticky so it does not start in the WOT position.
Also if the shut down is left in and for some reason left in gear she will end up somewhere other than you parked it if it...
Just apply Occam's razor theory here. The was no problem before he pull the head so the simple answer is the head. Yes he could have mixed up the injection order on the injection lines but that is a little harder as the lines would not fit right and there is a plate that has the order on the HH.
This was a better Idea if you worry and controlled from the cab. Thanks Orren.
Another good Idea is leave the engine kill pulled out and locked after shut down. If the fuel control does bind up it is bound in the no fuel position. This should be SOP. Maybe checking the fuel control (...
Respectfully yes they can just take off. Yes there has been a case where someone did some thing wrong after working on the IP. Most runaway's are caused by fuel control assembely sticking because of built up on the services from sitting and engine cut off left in instead out locked out. Ok 2...
It might if just the clip was off and button dancing around. Pull the head. One can clearly see the #2 exhaust valve through the oil fill.
If the motor was not turned over when the head was out and he pulled it with head spot on then it would not be 180 out. Pull the head.
5 bucks says you also put playing cards on the forks of your bike.
I would never have done something like that. I had the battery powered motor that made the sounds of a real motor. Varoooom
Yes if you are ready and awake. If it is in low range out of gear and your finger is up you bum no it will go WOT and could be hard on clutch /trans. I still don't believe if it was running yesterday the fuel control in most cases will not be stuck tomorrow. The problem is engine sitting too...
Well first of all the button you are talking about and pulling the top center plug is not called the button. That is the plunger and you can not check if the button fell off by way of plunger/top plug. Second I would never reuse the clip that holds on the button. Third and we have never talked...
Well mine were there when it was put together and cleaning my glasses, putting them on I found what was left if the pins in the front.
What is funny the rears are rock solid no rust.
