lost gen one, and before I could get pulled over it took out gen 2 and both were wrapped around the fan. I know I got lucky that it didn't take anything else with it.
I got them replaced and the fan/power steering will be in wed. I wanted them all new.
yea, I went through it on our toyota t-100. had to replace the cable and housing. it was surging and then final broke. of course I was working out of town so no time to fix it myself. it was almost 300 from toyota. I have been watching the spedo on flebay as you mentioned also.
not to hi jack his thread. but mine is 5 mph off (fast) until 65 which is really 55 and the needle jumps from 60 to 70 to 75 all while I am only doing say 55 to 60.
up until that point the needle is steady no jumping.
nice set-up, I use too flat tow my jeep (51' M38). I got tired of worrying about breaking something after some hard wheeling, and ohh yea a new set of swappers. so I bought a trailer.

hey SS, make sure the black out light switches arent on...... I read were the horn will not work if they are on. the switch needs to be set to service lights.
I like the tread on the guard dog myself. I have summer tires and rims and need to get tires for the rims To run in winter. price is not bad even if they are retreads, heck that is all we ran when I was growing up. we melted them off the rims before they wore out......
