Agree with DH. I've had my 932 for two years and had to replace the batteries due to poor starting in cold weather. I went with 4x6TL batteries. It turns over great and starts even in cold weather now. The NHC250 needs the CCA to get started when its cold. The 4x6TL's will put out around 3200...

I had a leaking m939 core as well. The 809 series trucks use a slightly different core and I couldn't find any nos parts. I also ended up having a radiator shop repair mine. 2 years later it still works fine.

Well I took the tructor out to another mudfest. Had a great time and ended pulling one of the monster trucks out of one of the bogs. He had a very strong tow strap so I decided to give him a good pull :-D I took the tension off the strap and nailed the throttle. It was hillarious, the truck...

Welcome to the club ! They are definitely a labor of love. Give it time and you'll be happy with your truck and all the mods. It took me two years to get my deuce the way I wanted it.

The protection control box has relays that work in conjunction with the alternator. I recently replaced my alternator because of low output and the loss adjustability. I received two military replacements one for a deuce with a 3 wire hookup, not correct, and the other a used takeoff for a 939...

Check your fluid level as well.

If you look at the very first picture you can see a brown line running down the last 1/3 of the bed. That is where I took the 3 feet out. I used a deuce bed.

They use 4 6TL batteries for a reason, cold starting ! You do not have sufficient cranking amps for cold starting. Put a block heater in and plug it in at least two hours before you need it.

Sounds like you have the wrong air switch on the brakes. There are two types; one for the air system pressure that turns the warning buzzer off when pressure reaches about 60psi and the other air switch for the brakes that works at about 5-10psi. If you have the 60psi switch on the brakes...

Have you used a multimeter to verify the voltage ? Does this happen when the truck starts and does it show normal before starting ? Have you tried adjusting the voltage output of the alternater ? Did you tap on the gauge to see if its sticking ? I had the same issue with my 932. I...

My adjustment went out on mine. It would either charge 31v or 26v nothing else. I went with a civilian type and bought the brackets from a vendor here on SS. The alternator was an easy install and is much more stable than the military unit it replaced. It also cost much less.
