Check the linkage off the pedal it should move freely about a 1/4 inch if it does not it is not releasing all of the pressure off the master cylinder and it will build up pressure so that will make the brakes lock up
I do know that they make a tool if the out side wheel is off and the lugs are still in the wheel (inner and outer lugs) you put the tool on the outer lug and drive the inner lug through the outer lug with an impact wrench you should be able the get one at a heavy truck parts store
Don"t know the name of the Transmission but they use a torque converter and pump system and install Lenco Gear boxes to that system I have seen this system on some of the Pro Mod that run 1800+ hp motors and other types of Drag Racing Vechiles
Sounds like the pulley is worn on the backside and in the front of the pulley also sounds like the keyway on the pulley is worn bad you might take the pulley off and have a new keyway cut in the pulley and put a thick washer behind the locking nut and this should fix the problem
I had A problem of the same sort and found that the flange bolts were loose on the shaft between the trans. and the transfer case thighten the bolts and no more noise
