Well that settles one question as to why it had those markings and had blue paint under it i looked for units in washington with the national guard i didnt find this unit but thank you for the info my truck was bought from a washington fire department from the city of Okanogan up there the guy...

That is one thing that had me confused was the markings and it as is under the hood it is OD with the white lettering still and the cab interior is OD but when i took my data plates off inside it is Strata blue underneath , Ialso have found red paint on the side in front of my drivers side door...

The same as yours i couldnt read anything on the back and actually i could not find anything on them the front also has a star on the right hnd side near the winch so now i am even more confussed because i dont beleive the Air Force had stars on there bumpers i dont know what it is from only...

I am in a jam i took the bolts out of the back of the cab from the outside but i cant figure out which screws or what needs to come ot of the front and how heavy is the top it is just me and my wife and im not in the best of health that is one reason i bought this truck so i could have something...

My USAF M-37 has on the left bumper either 81 or 87 BG -161-1 on the right side it has US 21 i cannot find anything i have googled Bomber group for the usaf might be a national guard unit but i havent found anything yet any help would be appreciated as to what they stand for.thanks in advance

I am Originally from Lexington, NC which i go back and forth all the time and Salisbury is only 15 to 20 miles from there, Right now I live south of Wilmington, NC I am supposed to be heading up that way the first of next month I will see if i can track him down or something to see what he has.

It is under the OD the outside is Strata blue undr the yellow and the OD was done by the FD that owned it according to there chief and in a few places where the OD is off it is Strata blue it is a very thin coat of OD you can almost wipe it hard and it comes off thanks for the info

Yes i am going to look at it more closely and thank you for the help so far, it is almost all there except for my mirrors and a few other odds and ends but the mirrors are a must for me to find i have been looking but so far unsuccessful
