I installed one three days ago. Instead of drilling 3 holes I decided to buy the $30 bracket from NAPA. If you use the NAPA bracket, remember to attach the bracket to the air dryer first. Also, I had to reuse one of the fittings (looked like brass) from the OEM air dryer. It was about an...
Update. I replaced the original air dryer with a new Bendix and used a mounting adapter from NAPA. Almost a bolt off/bolt on project. Required just a bit of thinking...fortunately. Thanks again for all the help.
I agree with Suprman. I believe it will happen again without rebuilding or replacing. Now that I know a little bit more about the air dryer, I can see how manipulating it like you (we) did can work for a while, but I wouldn't want to continue to drive it without addressing the problem. I...

I'll admit I'm no mechanic, but with help from the site i've been able to maintain it...

I got the spin-on filter adapter from Scar59 and it was an easy install. The only decision making was which small O-ring to use. As I remember, the kit came with two O-rings. The instructions identified which of the two to use. I almost overlooked the print, but it's there and it definitely...
I had the same problem with the doors hitting the mirrors. It's a simple fix. You can access the existing door stopper from outside the truck if I'm not mistaken. You add a couple of rubber stoppers or washers like was mentioned above. I'll look at my truck later, but it seems like I...
