    I did this last summer and found out it was the aftermarket outer seal rubbing on the bearing. I bought some nos seals and it fixed it.

    I'm going to be replacing bearings on one of my rear hubs, and I read you can make the cork seal out of SB chevy vc gaskets, or is RTV enough? First time I'm doing this and want it right. Thanks Scott
