    INIpower IG-1000

Inipower IG-1000 Recently I acquired 2 non-running IG-1000’s from the 1033 program. Both had single digit hours. One had been dropped or smashed. Probably deliberately. It would run on starting fluid then die. The nicer looking one wouldn’t run at all. I combined enough parts to get one...

    MEP 002 running rough

Had a similar issue with a Baldor light tower. Turned out water in the fuel had ruined it. I plumbed in a spare fuel can of new clean diesel and it ran perfectly. This was after changing out filters and one bad injector.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

Great tip on moving the clips. The bulbs were all used take outs from somewhere. No idea how long they will last. But the the price was right.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

Bulbs were a bit shorter and won't reach the clips on the right side. Hopefully that won't be an issue. Easy to swap out and they lit right up. I ran them for awhile to make sure there were no issues. Bulbs were labelled MVR1000 and R1000. No TO's though. I looked in the document pockets.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

Thanks for the info, I have read up on ballasts and lamps. The consensus seems to be that a high pressure sodium ballast will start MH lamps but the opposite configuration won't.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

Tinstar I have a question about the MH bulbs. I have 5 of these NF2D's where I work. They all run great. I would like to get rid of the sodium bulbs and run 1,000 watt MH bulbs. I have access to a pile of free bulbs. Used but good. Have you had any issues running those with the HPS ballasts?

    B-17 Flying Fortress

Yesterday my wife and I were southbound I-5 near Boeing Field when a B-24 comes in from the south and lands. A few minutes later the B-17 called 909 lands. Pretty cool.

    Gen 1 Light and Fan

Just had the same issue on the 1008 here. The Gen 1 light had been flickering on and off while driving. Gen 2 took a long to time to go out. I installed the 2 brand new alternators I had and that cured the Gen 2 issue. But no light on Gen 1. I tested all the fuses with the test light and...
