Possible cooling issue and/or water pump problem?

I am done with this site. The refusal to address the Pirate 4x4 attitude by moderators means I will not renew my membership in August. This is an example of the nasty, unfriendly people like Sintorion, allowed to destroy and never contribute. Clearly a worthless troll. Why have moderators if you...

Possible cooling issue and/or water pump problem?

So, Don't buy it. You've said your peace. I guess it is your own personal crusade to protect the world from this product. I think all the threads about people putting junk oils into their multifuel engines "just cause" are stupid. But I Don't spend months bashing them on the forum. Hey, how...

Possible cooling issue and/or water pump problem?

I can't believe that after months and months, this Sintorion idiot is still trolling. This is allowed to continue why? Makes the site unfriendly. How about a moderator just boot this guy. He doesn't contribute anything useful.

    CUCV Cooling System Upgrade Kit

That is the temperature sensor that tells your glow plug card how much time to keep the glow plugs on. If you plan on keeping your glow plug card active, not convert to manual glow plugs only, you need to put that sensor back into the cooling system somewhere. Some of us put it back into the...

6.2-6.5 long block or short block questions?

The bounty.. hunter? Arrgghh! Whatever happens, don't let him get the truth. Hey, here's a biscut! Done playing nice here. Administrator; please delete my account. You have nothing here to teach. Tired of your stupid members.

6.2-6.5 long block or short block questions?

Calm yourself. This is a GM product. What they failed at was electrical not mechanical. This motor; based on video evidence, is fine. Yea, aint normal. But fine. He drives it everyday. Runs fine. Won't give me a compression test, but runs fine. Run it. If it were catastrophic, been done now.

6.2-6.5 long block or short block questions?

Then make your own post. We are not trying to be nasty here. But hijacking a thread means others get confused down the line. Everyone wants to see your marvel. But we want to see Drock's too. You are confusing the two.

Wrong Forum. Go elsewhere. This is Mr. Drocks thread.

6.2-6.5 long block or short block questions?

How much oil you burnin bra? If it is less than 1 qt per 500 miles, you sure as **** don't have a hole in your piston. In fact, 1qt per 1 k mi is normal for s used engine. I think you might be trippin.

6.2-6.5 long block or short block questions?

Drock, Just run it. There is a little blow by. How much oil you burning? My 400 sbc in a k5 burns a quart every 200 miles. I would wait. Accumulate the parts over time. But wait. That looks like condensation in the morning air to me. Yea, above normal. Dude, millions of Mexicans have driven...

Specifically, which TM's should I go over for PM Services

I am told, on Apple machines, it is; that 4-leaf clover and P at the same time.

Specifically, which TM's should I go over for PM Services

    It is just a truck.

M1009 roll cage & rock slider build

I'd ride in the back of that thing, no seat, no seat belt, just hanging on to the bars like an ape. No shame in being an ape.

Steering Wheel Lock Feature m1009 missing?

I noticed my 86 m1009 has no steering wheel lock feature. It is either missing, or was not there to begin with. I had tried to tow my m1009 over the snow last week and couldn't get the wheel to lock the way my 76 K5 does. Pulled the key, turned the wheel, no lock. Not complaining mind you. A...

M1009 Off Road Design 3" lift w/Shackle Flip

I got a chance to leave the mountain today. Fired up the 76 K5 400 and headed directly down the 10% grade. Got some leaf spring center pin bolts for the 6 degree steel axle shims I had bought. I will go ahead and return the 12 bolt axle to it's stock angle after the shackle flip. Drive it around...

M1009 Off Road Design 3" lift w/Shackle Flip

Ouch! I had a friend who lifted his 72 K5 inside his garage.. Yes, we had to flatten the tires to get it out! His wife was happy because she knew he'd never park that beast in the garage again. Interesting fact; When I swapped the 10 bolt out and brought the dana 44 from my 76 K5 under the...

    Anyone paint their aluminum radiator?

That is a smoking deal. I paid $450 for my brass and copper radiator. Did the aluminum rad come with the oil cooler provision or are you running a seperate cooler?

M1009 Off Road Design 3" lift w/Shackle Flip

Ord recommended a 1" zero rate in the rear if the fronts remain high. You probably already know what they are; it is like a short leaf spring or add a leaf. Like a lift block. I'll wheel the snot out of it this summer and see how i feel. I would have gone with the easy ride standard but read...
