    Any other anti-theft ideas Guys?

Ignorance and a manual transmission will defeat 99% of all potential Deuce thieves :) But I do like the idea of a locking collar or bracket around the engine stop lever, that way you don't have to mess up any of the "stock" parts of the system.

Got up close and personal with an MK36 wrecker tonight....

Actualy, it's a bit decieving in that picture, but, it's not any more cramped in there than an M35, the big green angle-iron thing is mounted to the frame, and those eyelets on the top come up through the hood to serve as lifting points for loading and unloading the truck. I'm willing to bet...

    Newbie...

Boy, ain't that the truth, 2 years ago, we bought an M35, and thought "that's it, we'll never be like these other guys who have entire fleets in thier backyards, they don't know when to stop, but we do" That was 2 years, 1 M105 and 3 M35's ago......

Got up close and personal with an MK36 wrecker tonight....

Looks are free, if you know the right people :D It's on loan to the University from the USMC for testing purposes, and I knew someone who could get us into the garage. As for what it's sticker price was, we can only guess it was darn expensive considering all the bells and whistles on it.

Got up close and personal with an MK36 wrecker tonight....

Brand new too, built in 1/06, and only has 27 hours on her, the seats in the cab still had that "new car" smell. Whaddaya think? Found these in storage compartments under the seats, joystick units for working the boom controls. The heart of the beast, a brand-new Caterpillar C12...

    DRMO Mechanicsburg, PA (Harrisburg area)

When do you need em' picked up? I live about 2 hours away from Letterkenny, and if you need me to haul em' home for you and then find a way to get them safely packaged and shipped to you, I'd be more than willing to help out a fellow SS member.

    Question RE: GL/DRMO "condition codes"

Every truck at some DRMO sites has a pan put under it to catch anything leaking, weather it's leaking or not. Though, in the case of McVeyMac's M35A2C it meant someone had accidentaly stabbed the pan with a forklift prong....

    Question RE: GL/DRMO "condition codes"

Ditto, the condition codes mean vitrualy squat, the only thing that's really going to tell you what condtion the truck is in is a firsthand visual and physical inspection, aside from that, you are taking a chance, even on a truck that looks really good in the pictures. Also as noted above...

    Deuce #3 is home

Well, we got McVeyMac's M35A2C home safe and sound late last night. An adventure as always. To see pictures of the trip, just visit this thread right here. He ought to be stopping by sometime soon, he's probably still sleeping all the miles off...

When does GL at Chambersburg, PA. usually have appointments?

RE: When does GL at Chambersburg, PA. usually have appointme You know, I can't remember when we were there, we went once for an M105 trailer, and two times for Walter's M35, ask Walt himself, he may remember, goes by the handle McVeyMac on here

So, anyone need some 6LT's? (humorous pic, not serious)

RE: Easy answer for Battery Disposal........ 50 pounds hitting you at terminal velocity, and full of acid, never thought of it that way.....

When does GL at Chambersburg, PA. usually have appointments?

RE: When does GL at Chambersburg, PA. usually have appointme I'd call and ask them, we've delt with them several times and they seem like personable folks. ALso, the DRMO site at Letterkenny isn't actualy ON the base itself, so security is a bit more relaxed and access is much easier, big plus.

Wright Patterson AFB Woes Continue; Help!

Well, except for that little blow out about 4 miles up the road from the base, remember that one Walter? http://www.revrend.net/ltr/pictures/wdeuce11.jpg But yeah, the NEXT 150 miles were trouble-free

So, anyone need some 6LT's? (humorous pic, not serious)

Guy who works as a battery expert for the local University sent this to my Dad, who forwarded it to me. According to the source the battery man got the image from, these are all DEAD batteries used up by the troops over in Iraq.

Mystery of the M105 trailer solved.....

Leo, an ol' Nam Vet from the neighborhood came by the other day to check out the deuce, he knew we had bought one but hasn't seen it since we refurbished it. Well, as he was checking her out, he walks over to the 105 trailer and points out a pair of small holes in the tailgate. They've been...
