Safe Driving Speed and Tire Size on M939 Series Trucks

those speed ratings on the tires are on there for maximum rated speed at capacity of the tires, most of those tires are rated at 10k lbs each plus. If you are hauling at capacity that is the maximum allowable safe speed you can obtain. These are not 200 mph monsters that are going to spin the...

    Can an M923 pull this?

an m915 has 12v and 24v trailer leads you will simply have to extend it to the rear, a 915 would be a better option than the 923. If you are looking for a 923 anyways look for an A2 model with the 8.3 cummins, much better choice overall. Both trucks come with a pintle, the 915 may be low...

    Just a little M925A1Adult Tease

your tires don't seem to have any bulge, try letting some air out, I run mine at 50-60 psi depending on what I am doing, makes it much better.

winch purchase- what to look for

well that deal is not going through, i will extend the offer to any SS member $750 plus shipping has everything mentioned that is needed except cable, chain, and little metal flappy safety for the cab, went on a different truck. Since the cable was toast I was not able to do a load test on the...

winch purchase- what to look for

Nope I don't ;-) as most of you know I build bobbers etc. and only keep the best, this came off of a parts truck. I encourage everyone to check out any parts or kits they buy cause I would not take my word for it either....

    14.00-20's and M-105 bed--hub flip???

I am not sure if I am giving you the answer you need but the interference problem is track width not the height of the truck, to make them fit the way you have them you will have to tub the bed and make new wheel wells to make them fit.

Yeah she has come a long way, I am just not using it as much as I wanted to, the old bat next door is making my life hard so I cannot build outside anymore and running Sheila in my shop is killing me. I am going to build an electric gantry crane for inside the shop and think on the next...

    my m52a2 build thread

just to clarify, 16.00 r 20's are 53" tires not 46's. on these tractors I would not do 53's personally if you are going to work it, I would do 14.00 r20's at the max which are 49" or 395/85r20's which are the 46" that you are referring to.

    Bobbed M-52A2

have fun with the bobbed truck, with as many of these trucks that are cut and shipped overseas for scrap weight people are barking up the wrong tree to those of us who bob and continue to use and love these trucks here in the good old USA.

    MRAP wheels

MRAP use portal hubs and wheels so they will not bolt on. I would stick with 14.00's and 5 ton combat or Hemtt wheels which was what the military put on the A2's, the 395's will look too small the 16's put you up high in the air and will affect wrecker operations. Just my .02

    Frankenduece pics?

this is exactly what I don't want to do, to run 16's on a deuce most people move the axle forward, with it in the stock 5 ton location you have all the room in the world to run 16's, power steering, much improved brakes and axles, transfer case sucks but that can be changed out with one of the...

    Frankenduece pics?

I think I am going to try to tackle this in the near future, I love everything about the five ton except the cummins, long front nose, and the transmission. I think that I could make it happen pretty easy. The Frankendeuce that was pictured was not finished, he had an intercooler that was...
