Does anyone have information on the big Russian tank museum... Kubinka (sp?)... I am wanting to plan a trip next year and would like to know when its open, good lodging that's close, any behind the scene tour opportunities etc.

Foreign nationals can visit the museum only after obtaining permission of matching with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. Location of the Museum of armored vehicles and the contents of its storage require tracking of foreign nationals by security, and therefore a permit is not a mere formality.

Learn how you can get permission, you can call the officer on duty at the museum. In addition, a number of Russian tourist companies offer services for obtaining permits and excursion services. The responsibilities of the authors of this site is not advertising specific travel agencies, so we hope that the information will be easily found by you via the Internet.

The museum is open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays, from 10 to 17 hours.
