Relax Robo, we are only harassing you a bit. It is all in good spirit. Congratulations on the second granddaughter.
I'm glad Jeepsinker gave you the standard US English version of that phraseology. In true Southern, it would have come out "We's jes' pickin!" which is not well understood by folk from above the Mason-Dixon Line, much less from other parts of the world.

Thank goodness I didn't hear anything about the rally commander being from north of the Mason-Dixon Line.

(My family (Dad's side) hails from around the Beckley WVA area.)

Well bless his heart.
Many folks will not get the significance of that patracy so let me help out here:

In the South, you can get by with saying almost ANYTHING about ANYBODY no matter how terrible it is....as long as you say "Well bless his/her heart" before ya lower the boom on them!!

Ok Il will resist the temptation to post the nicest pics first but just do it in chronological order. See also my signature.

Still early Wednesday morning, not many people up yet

006: Looking out from my tent to EMD567's place with I think Swiss' truck next to it
007: 73M819's tepi with the wrecker next to it. I was very happy to enjoy several quiet early morning coffee's here with Ron. Thanks
008: A useful trailer for saving your household
009: EMD567's place with his and Ferro's M37s next to it.
010: Still all quiet on the western vendor front

011: Wreckerman arriving with his truck pulling the trailer on a fifth wheel BEHIND the bed.
012: Hanging out at the registration; that became a favorite spot for me as well.
013: Squirt-truck arriving in his 1958 Diamond T, M54-A2 pulling Little-Truck and Baby-Truck
014 - 015 The only dump at the rally. Dumpster's M51 with a nice jeep in the back. Forgot who but one person told me that a dead-sure recognition of a 5-ton from a distance is that the front fender has much more space behind the front wheel than in front of the wheel. Deuces and others have that much more balanced. Pic # 014 shows that nicely.

People, please send me a pm with truck details and screen name of owner so I can make a nice collection.

Robo, 14 and 15 are Dumpster, otherwise known as Jeff. Yes, that is an old gasser tipper and it goes on every trail out there. It's neat to listen to and he is very skilled when maneuvering the trails. Nothing seems to rattle him terrain wise. Jeff and Mark are the usual trail ride leaders as well as the recovery experts on the trails.

016 - 017: The first mayor repair / swap project underway; Rayzer's Deuce getting a new head gasket.
018: Squirt-truck arriving, with a better view of Little-Truck (1951 Dodge, M37) and Baby-Truck (1970 Brunswick, M274-A5).
019: Still space enough at the vendor's field.
020: Rayzer's M146 trailer.

021: AMGeneral72's spot. Drew and Emily had a spare bed with mattress and two very good blankets, making my stay very luxurious (apart from the ants, that is).
022: ???
023: Jeepsinker;s deuce in front of Gimpyrobb's tent
024: Mwmules (Dave) vendor spot and 1998 Chevy former Air Force flight line 1T van with 6.5 diesel
025: ???

Common people, I need screen names and MV details. Once I have them, I will update the post in question to give everybody its due. Also, it will make it easier for others who are looking for connections between MVs and screen names. Help me out here.

Pics from a still almost empty Vendor's field.
026: Gimpy's M116a3 trailer
027: The M109A3 trailer on the right hand side of the photo along with the blue tent and red 4-wheeler is Gunnermac's camp
028: On the left, Streamline's place before he got everything set up. Who was between Gunnermac and Streamline?
029: Docfarmall's red trailer with the box from pic 30 to the left of it. In the right half of the pic is the M109 Van Truck that belonged to Horace Roland. Horace sadly passed away on Sunday October 26, 2014. He is in picture 042
030: an early sale. There must be still some good parts on it (box not included)

2014 GA Rally_046c.jpg2014 GA Rally_048c.jpg2014 GA Rally_049c.jpg

031: 73m819's wrecker in action for the first time, getting a shelter unit out of the Deuce bed.
032 -033: Patracy arriving in the 1984 M931 SEMTT contraption with trailer

Thursday morning: MKT crew in action

Thursday very early morning, the MKT crew in action for the first breakfast. They deserve their own post for their great work.
I added the first and last pic to show how early it was, not yet light. The first and last pic are 16 minutes apart!

Not all people of the MKT crew are captured on the pics shown here. It is clear that even if more hidden (cleaning stuff etc), they are as much a part of the crew deserving our thanks than the more visible people. Maybe mention all their (screen) names?

[thumbzup] :goodjob: :goodjob:

034: not sharp but just showing the breaking daylight.
035: the coffee crew was up early as well.
036: long shot from the cleaning area into the cooking area
037: two cooks active while Mike is watching how things are going
038: Wreckerman making pancakes. Unfortunately, I only tasted some breakfast that morning, the rest of the time I was too late.

2014 GA Rally_063c_resize.jpg2014 GA Rally_065_resize.jpg2014 GA Rally_068_resize.jpg2014 GA Rally_069_resize.jpg

039: The man himself; Mike also known as SCSG-G4
040: Wreckerman checking on the progress of the pancakes
041: Ready biscuits (why call these things biscuits?) awaiting the first customers.
042: A first hungry breakfaster in the early dawn light (Horace Rowland)

As to the food discussions over hear: I tried the boiled peanuts and the corn grits.

Boiled peanuts .. put me in the other camp please, not really my taste

Grits: a 1:1 addition of Mike's super sirup made it more or less eatable for me. In my defense; it reminded me too much of the buckwheat porridge we sometimes got like breakfast in the Netherlands. It is a type of breakfast I vowed not to eat ever again after starting to cook for myself. I tried in Mike's honor, but it really is not to my taste either.

Thanks for the info, I updated the pics accordingly. Keep the data coming folks. Look at my signature to go quickly back to the pics and help me identify those without proper identification. If more trucks are on the pics, more owners will be mentioned, so keep it coming.
