Polaris MRZR-D4

Making progress. I am hoping we should finish in the next week or so.

Before we put the back bed on, we started it up and made sure the engine ran well. Well, it did not. It ran like crap. We hooked up the computer to it and it was throwing a TPS code. I had to get a new intake with the TPS sensor built into it and pre-calibrated. For some reason, on this engine, you cannot just replace the sensor. You have to replace the whole intake that has the sensor built into it. A $50 part turned into an $800 part. BS IMO.

But, now it runs so smooth and purrs like a kitten. Before, it ran like crap.

With that done, we put the bed back on, so now it is down to the details and the small stuff.

And, I finally got the proper new switches in...

Rebuild looks really great. Where did you get the paint? Part number? Can you give us the part numbers for the switches and other new parts? I have a diesel MRZR-D4. Do you have a part number for the rim or size and type?

The paint is Gillespie Tan CARC Substitute I get from Rapco Parts.
These switches aren't for the D4's, only the gassers. The diesel machines use different switches.
These wheels and tires are for the gassers also. The diesels use a different wheel pattern, but they are the same size and offset. I do not have a part number for the wheels.

....and I am not sure what you mean by part numbers for the "other new parts".

Be aware that the gassers and the diesels are VERY different machines and a majority of the parts are not cross used (meaning what works on one probably won't work on the other, except the generic like seats, steering wheel, shifter, and maybe another thing or two).

Gas machine parts are very easily sourced as a majority of them come from the 900 RZR commercial line, except the .MIL stuff. Diesel machines are a different beast.

So you just ordered from Polaris, RZR 900 parts. Thanks for the paint tip. Some of my panels are fading. Did you install a new battery? If so what did you buy? Polaris is being a real Delta Hotel about selling MRZR-D4 parts. Leaving us to guess RZR 1000 parts.

Polaris Defense will NOT sell to .CIV under any circumstance. Even their suppliers, whom I have spoken with, have a strict contract that prohibits them from selling any part they supply Polaris Defense with.

Yes, gas 900 parts are plenty and available. This is the reason why I bought a gas machine, instead of a diesel. I can get replacement parts no problem.

The battery is what came with the machine. It's a regular old Duracell 12v.

Well, I am finally finished and she's home.

I put the tactical seats in the back, but I also have the regular seats that go in the back as well as platform bases for cargo. Everything else is as it is.

The only things that are non-"factory" are the front LED light bar and there is a rear IR follow me light. The toggle switches on the dash control those two items.

USMC unit markings are what were on the machine originally.
