What have you done to your CUCV today/lately?

Changed out my GP that burnt out. Debating on getting raid of the manual GP control and going back stock GP card.

Changed out all the wheel bearings. Thanks to RAGEDRACER's write up on how to do the rears saved me some time for sure. Everything's a learning experience....Oh yeah, and got my doors to no longer sag so they shut right every time now.

Cleaned the truck up as good as I could, changed the engine oil and filter, changed the ATF and filter, changed the diff oil and gaskets, changed out the ATF in the T-case, gave the K&N a half a**ed cleaning, changed the fuel filter, put a new power steering belt on, changed the wiper blades, topped the truck off with windshield washer fluid and cleaned the nozzles, you know, all the fun 30K stuff. . .
Still need to do a coolant flush and repaint the wheels among other things. . .

How hard was it to change out that switch? I've been thinking of doing mine too, mine acts a little funny sometimes.

Finished console reinstall and replaced 4WD indicator switch. Oh, and give her a bath.

Removed 20 plus years of rust and old paint from my Jerry can bracket. Installing later today.

Drain fluid, remove pan and filter and it's right next to the valve body remove two bolts and unplug one wire.

How did you run the wires? Looks nice

Mr. epitts:
I did not note that I installed it in my M-1028. However a few years ago I installed the same dome light in my M-1009 so the install is almost the same.
After selecting the location I drilled a 1/2" diameter hole in the top of the truck taking care not to drill through the roof of the truck about a 1" space. Using an Electricians tape, I fished the tape down into the cab corner on the left side of the truck. Since the dome light is a single wire (the case of the light is grounded) I pulled a wire back up to the light location made the wiring connection and mounted the light.
After hiding the wire under the floor insulation and mat, I installed a master light switch by the amp meter. I install an inline fuse and using a spade connector connected to a 12 volt source at the fuse block. Secure all of the wiring you just installed with zip ties so it does not look like Bubba did the job and go buy a new pair of sunglasses.

The dome light is a NAPA #80351, NAPA Lighting by Trucklite.
I used, I think 16 gauge wire and a 5 amp fuse.

Updated the interior a bit...just need to paint it all and get a few missing parts, and added a battery tray that will hold two group 34 optimas and clear up alot of room in the engine compartment.

Where did you get the new battery rack?

I'm gathering the parts from the junk yard to add ac.... I will need to move that rear battery...

Added third battery, I have three commercial grade truck batteries two 12 volt and one 24 volt

I add some 315/75/16 tires used ones but their bigger than the stock M1008 tires

Added the doghead starter relay and a gp manual button last night.

Lets see...

1. Finished installing the NAP A/C kit
2. Installed oil and water temp gauges (added tees so both dummy lights and gauges work)
3. Installed a dome light (used one of the old square 24V blue/white light mounts)

Next on list: doghead relay, new GP card, replace glow plugs, new ST85 GP relay
