It looks like water in the tank too.

Glad you're rig is up-and-running, again. After finally getting the heads and the money, our 1009 is running again! View attachment 666489
That's one of the two. You can see part of the other one in front of that one. Looks like original military battery(ies) to me.Glad you're rig is up-and-running, again.
That is one whopping big battery under the hood; I guess I've never noticed before, but is that standard for the M1009?
OK; I see that second one now. That's one of the two. You can see part of the other one in front of that one. Looks like original military battery(ies) to me.
I think you are seeing the vent caps......So is that 6 terminals (3 each: Pos/ Neg), for each battery?
Where did you buy that?Installed a new turbo on my existing ATS infrastructure.
Was the new one about the same cost as the rebuild?Got my Alternator back from the rebuilder.. Holy crap that was fast.... Looks almost like new..
$180 including tax, a little steep, but they do amazing work...
He said it was 'worn out', something about windings and brushes and other stuff I know not of, and the regulator failed. He replaced all internal components, something about all the above and a trio, and some other stuff, new washers/insulators, etc. so It's basically a new alternator in my old case...
Funny, because I ordered an alternator from Amazon, and it took less time to rebuild the existing one, as the other alternator, which I'll use as a spare, isn't supposed to be here until Tuesday...
Sure hope none of those projects made you feel grouchy.Ah let's see... depends on definition of lately. Last summer replaced radiator also last week replaced glow plugs. Pretty boring I know but soon I will be doing some brake work. So not much really.
