I have found those but I am not too sure what vintage those are. If you look at the 24P fig 188 item 8 it shows the ones I am looking for.
Spanky. Have you asked Alex Gordon at Idaho Motor Pool, if the M1078 he is parting out has some door handles? Can't hurt to ask!

What year is your truck? Maybe it was one of the last trucks on a run and they just used whatever they had left? I doubt that's the case. I have known people who have worked in auto industry and in the military refurbishment factories. Some just do things as a prank or a dig at a supervisor and the item never gets reported or spotted. Then the next person says, "well I'm not the door pull guy and that must be what the truck was supposed to have on it. Not my job or my issue." sad but true

It's a 1995 so I don't think it's was at the end of production. Who knows...

I really wasn't trying to win this auction. I have been watching GP for awhile and wanted to learn the bid mechanics on GP. I threw in a token bid, one bid of 3800.00 just to see how it worked. Didn't even dream I would have won this and too this point only one other truck in Washington went for less. It was a stripper and sold for 3100. Every other truck went for 4000 and above.

So I went up and got a cup of coffee and came back and sat down at the computer. I click to see how much it sold for and low and behold I won... So began the scramble and the start of this thread.

When looking at the pictures I had a good feeling the truck was a runner. The only real issue I saw was the missing voltage gauge.

The yard apes put a huge dent on the front left side. I have worked that out and so far I am happy with what I have done. I have never done any body work but watching a few vidoes on the youtubes I think I have it good enough.

The floorpans are rusty but nothing to bad. This is Washington and it rains and these trucks leak... rust happens. I have replacements i'll be welding in. Again never done that but lots of youtube.

Need to take the turret cover off and see what's up there rust wise as it is where it leaks. Also need to seal it up. But I didn't see anything major with it still in place. I'll find out soon enough.

Windshield will also need to come out. 1) there's a crack and I see some rust. This is on the back burner.

I'll need to replace the heat and sound insulation. I am remove the old stuff to get to the rust underneath. The old stuff holds water... and come off very easy when it's wet.

Need to replace the upper sway bar bushing... they are gone. I have the bushings and steel sleeves just need to find the washers.

There's a few OCD things I will need to do.

Almost forgot how much I enjoy working on military vehicles... But the body it protesting ;)

Where you getting the weld in floor pan ?
A guy here in the northwest has some scrap cabs. Sawsall and some work I have me some floorpans.

With that said there is a guy that has some cabs for a good price. If I had a way to lift the cab I would go that route, well maybe... All I know is if i really screw up with the floor pans I have an out.

Stop in and see if they will talk to you. Couldn't hurt, might even get some history.
The Early LMTV are rusting like crazy- no corrosion protection until 97. Matter of fact. That and the resulting delay is the reason S&S lost the contract. These truck cabs looked like Swiss cheese already at the Sealey Plant and had holes while they were waiting to be installed on the trucks.
