I drive by my DRMO lot usually once a week, mainly because I work on base. I've seen some stuff that sits on the lot for a few weeks before it's listed, some are barely on the lot and are listed. It usually just depends.......

Yes. You'll need the 12v bulbs. 1156 and 97 if I remember correctly.

You can remove the surge without having to remove the drums and backing plates. I kept mine in so that I could keep the handbrake functional.

Yup, that's why I decided to go with that size. Although I can flip my hitch to 2" rather quickly, I love my rapid hitch.

I removed my surge too, got all the wiring done. I was going to post it in the classifieds, but, then I saw I had to pay for a premium membership to sell the surge portion. I guess there was a real problem in the past after reading a few threads about it. I'm kind of anxious to see how yours...
