I've got those as well, I like them. I second the problem with them falling down driving down the road, but the difference between them and the stock wipers as far as wiping ability is well worth it.
I do know the petcock on top turns counterclockwise to bleed the air out of the heater core. The screws are the same all the way around the box, you could take one out and go to a hardware store and pick up some replacements.
I agree with Santa, most all large trucks (that I've been around anyway) still run drum brakes. More surface area per brake than a disc, unless those are some huge calipers. One thing I still don't understand, is why everyone is always saying the deuce brakes are so bad? Mine are good enough...

Looks like you were correct Doghead, that is the top cover. I am assuming that it was universal between the 2.5 and 5-ton transmissions?
That was my thought also. I'm going to look at mine tomorrow when it is more light and less cold outside and see if they are the same.

I'm looking at buying a trans from a guy that says it is from a 2.5 ton. He says that there is a spec of a tag on it, but it doesn't have any numbers on it. All he can give me is casting numbers, and I was wondering if someone can tell me if it is a deuce trans from those? Here are a couple of...
Anybody know the weight of a tranny and transfer case? I may be going to buy one tomorrow, and would be nice to know how many people I need to take with me. lol
