What is the big deal with the deuce seals? A lip seal is less forgiving then the deuce seal. Set the seal correctly, lube it, set the bearing preload correctly, clean the breather and fill with oil. No problems.
I take two sets. Give me your PayPal address so I can send you $$.

why is this hobby so expensive. It is worse than a girlfriend.
Here I go again. I have MEP-831 in GA and hope for one more. Then over to TX to visit my Son. Then up to OK for a PU. Then up to Gimppys to PU. Then home to NJ.. So, if you need somthing moved on that route, let me know. The run from Gimppys to NJ is full. Sorry.

Shims set the preload, play up and down/ in and out. Shims between the seal retainer and carrier on the front.if you have up and down but no in and out, you may have bad shaft. Now for the real bad news. Both bearings cups and cones need replacing. How do I know, previous owner of Brute...
Throughout history man has told the creative that what they do is wrong. I say, I am glad that the vision of those visionaries were not dimmed by others views. Keep dreaming and creating. This is how we as a human race grows, if not we still be living in caves eating raw meat.
Just scored a genset and need brought up to NJ. Susex swap meet is soon so if you are coming up from GA for the show and have some room I can help with your fuel cost. POst up and we can see what is what.
This sparked my interest since Brutes tags run out 3/31. So here is my question, my RAM pickup is registered as a non-commercial truck at 27,000 pounds. This is truck weight and trailer weight. It is diesel. Brute is registered at 5,000 pounds, MV did tags same time as title. In NJ both trucks...
The issue is cavatation due to the water molecules being broken apart by the ignition of the fuel. This mini explosion then displaces the O2 molecules that have attached to the liners taking a tiny piece of liner with it. The additives reduce the surface tension of the water molecules keeping...
Last year drove Brute upstate about 150 miles. She ran good. We camped for 3 days and then came home. Stopped and filled fuel tank at about 1/2 way mark. After the fill up she ran like she had another engine under the hood. Then about 25 miles started missing in 5th. Then in 4th. I stopped and...
What size vortec? Pictures? Wireing? ECM? May Putin golf cart. No just kidding.
Glad I got out there. Met you guys. Tons of info for a quick meet. See you next time.
You people never cease to amaze me with your skills and knowledge. Great job just can understand how you can wait to finish. Get the thing done and post pictures of it mounted. Some of us need to borrow others ideas cause they are Kool. Thank you for the write up.
You people know more about these Hyperfuel engines than I. My impression was the rods are a weak point on these engines. Those that have let loose have put a hole in the block.
Think about putting am automatic in your truck. It is easier on driveline and you get more low end torque. Since you are off road a double t-case would help too.
Sorry. I love Texas. Plan on living there soon. House purchase fell through last year so we will try again. I am tired of this New Jersey. Epically the mud. Move to Texas where it is warm and dry.

My little Jeep playing on some rocks. Drove to texas. Wheeled for a weekend. Drove home.

One of Jersey trucks stuck some. After 30 some hours. A D10 and a Super wrecker poor truck was extracted in two pieces. Rear axle was left in mud and removed seperately. Not the plan. Yes they are...
